Compared to the names that were getting floated this is a big win. Especially given how bad the timing is with the current calendar structure.

Yeah KDB and Dillingham were certainly much worse. The guy who got forced out of Utah and has never had to coach in the Midwest certainly has the recruiting connections to work at blue blood program. Especially one that has seen it's reputation nuked into oblivion.

Whittingham is their Campbell. Decent coach with a super limited ceiling. This is a major win for everyone with Michigan on their schedule. That win over 9-3 looks a lot nicer now that Whittingham is there.

This isn't a good comparison at all. Whittingham with Utah has had a lot more success than Campbell with Iowa St. Like won a G5 conference and the Pac-12 twice.

I probably worded it wrongly - Campbell was PSU's safe pick after they tried swinging for bigger names. I absolutely think Whittingham is the better choice. I just think he's limited by his scope of area that he's worked in and that he's going to have a tough time recruiting players that aren't "NIL buys" because he's going to have to sell the development plan.

Campbell is a bum, and Whittingham is old but a great coach.

I've heard that Jay Hill, BYUs DC, is expected to head to Michigan after their bowl game.

He's been a big part of BYUs success the last couple of seasons, and I'm curious if he takes any players with him in the move. Probably not, but who knows.

Either way, expect BYU to have a different DC when we play next year.

I think they stay internal. I'm guessing either def passing coord/db coach Jenaro Gilford or Gary Anderson (not TCU version) a current analyst, prior head coach, reported as contributing a lot to the defense.

No they didn’t.

Fortuna: “I had heard there was talk of moving Al Washington to linebackers coach and then hiring a DL coach”

Sampson: “Hmm I had not heard that”

They then told a Coach O joke in 0% seriousness.

You can’t even shit post well.

Garrett Riley out as Clempson OC. Had been there 3 yrs.

Wonder if Pastor Swinney has an alum already lined up.
