One CBS Sports reporting piece said Cowboys are obv. a week behind Black Monday firings but moving fast. Only big name mentioned was Bill Belicheck. What a shit show that would be and really screwing over NC. Apparently BB's buyout is $10 mill. before 6/1, $1 mill. after. BB would result in the same results that Parcells delivered, same ol' first round loss in the playoffs each year at best. I say bring on Prime!

I also think kids should go where they are drafted, but they can absolutely dictate where they go. Manning, Elway, and others set that precedent.

If Sanders goes to Dallas, you know a stipulation will be for Jerry to do what it takes to get Sheduer.
TBH, those are rare exceptions and not reality. It can still happen, but you better be willing to sit out a season if the owner holds strong on his demands for what he gets in return.

No doubt those are rare exceptions, and for the record, I don't think Sheduer is anywhere near that level.

But him and Deion will believe he is and do anything they can to get their way.

I don't give a shit about the Dallas Cowboys but if they do any of these things - hire Deion, hire Belichick, dump Dak Prescott for Shadeur Sanders - they will deserve every bit of flaming mediocrity they will get.

It's certainly a mess rn. Prime said no, staying at CO and as I'm sure all of you saw, he's talking to past Cowboys like Jason Witten and Kellen Moore. We'll see where this ends...

Keep an eye out for Pete Carroll, might be the best for Cowboys. A lot depends on the freedom of any incoming coach to hire their own staff.

ND should 100% have a watch party in the Joyce Center. Would be surprising if they didn’t.

I haven't heard anything yet - many of the students will being going down to Atlanta (many even if they don't have tickets).

I may be way off here, but wasn’t a negotiation with NC that BB son gets the head job when he leaves? Did this sick old bastard just play 3D chess and land his kid a head coaching gig with no intention of ever coaching at UNC (basketball school)???? Or am I just talking shit. I don’t know at this point.

I don't think you can actually give a coach "head coach in waiting" title anymore or else it actually screws over a bunch of your recruiting hours and resources among other things. Heard this on Cover 3 a couple weeks back. I am sure there is some type of handshake agreement, though.

A handshake agreement that can easily be undone if Bill screws them over (or is fired or run off or some such). I can’t imagine UNC would be dumb enough to have anything contractually obligating them to hire his kid as their next head coach, right? Right?

JJ talking with everybody and their brother, but this is an interesting match since Riley has made it know he's a Cowboys fan and his performance at USC has been so so - It could make sense Dallas Cowboys, Jerry Jones Interested In Hiring USC Trojans' Lincoln Riley To Replace Mike McCarthy Tho' we would miss his coaching ineptitude on behalf of our top rival.
I mean, its not like USC would have the pick of the litter at this point.
1. They are not the USC of old, talent wise.
2. After their own decade since Pete, they have travelled their own Bob/Ty/Charlie path.
3. This time of the year produced for us one G Parker - Super-Genius OC...there are not many quality Head Coaches hanging around. Just a bunch of retreads without teams.

The Cowboys, Yankees, Lakers, Manchester United, Michigan Football....

They're all like car accidents. I don't want to look but I feel absolutely compelled that I must.

Yeah, I know there are mixed opinions (or even, go ahead, enjoy the circus! opinions) re: Prime coaching at Dallas, but I think under JJ that that's the type of coach we need to have in there right now, give it a try. I really don't see a Kellen Moore (just another nice Jason Garrett type coach); BB (just another experienced Bill Parcells type of coach); Sarkisian (Boring, no NFL head coaching experience); or MMFF, GTFO, stay away! It will be same ole same ole... Give me Prime!

The only way any coach is going to work is when Jerry moves on......

The Cowboys were my team going back the the Meredith days. When Jerry fired Landry, I was done with them and have rooted against them since.

That was a huge dividing point for Cowboys fanbase. Some came back, some didn’t.
