Been waiting to see what Petersen could do with a BCS-AQ team, would really like to see it happen. The fit seems to be perfect for Washington and Peterson but it would sure seem to be a culture shock for the current UW players going from Sark to Petersen.

Interesting side note. On Fox sports they are saying that it looks like Peterson turned down the USC job. Also saying Phil Knight wanted Peterson to replace Chip Kelly.

Seems to me that Peterson wants a big coaching job but doesn't want it at a "big" school. Likes not being the focal point.

I'll be interested to see how he does. I'm not as convinced as some that he's going to make them champs.

I think that is a home run hire for them, even if he isn't the football savant some think he is. With the influx of good coaches to the PAC-12, Washington needed to keep up, if only for recruiting / perceptions sake. They did that and more.

I'll root for the Huskies in the PAC-12 going forward, personally.

This is a good point; in fact, I think they may already be sliding back, even with Petersen (at 8-4 this season). I might be wrong.

I think they will go back to mediocrity. Everyone knew that Peterson was the reason behind their success. Even when Hawkins was there, it was Peterson that was the brainchild. That's why they didn't try to keep Hawkins (not that he would have stayed).

They might strike gold and get a decent hire, but the sustained program builder that Peterson offered is rare. They wont get a better replacement, imo.

I hope we get these fools in a bowl game and walk all over them. I hate BSU.

Peterson has done basically all he could do at Boise. Will do well in PAC-12

It will certainly be interesting, especially after Dan Hawkins flopped so badly at Colorado.

We'll see if Haden dropped the ball by not giving in to Petersen's "process" and going with Sark. For USC's sake...I hope he dropped the ball.
