Yeah, this isn't breaking news. It's been well established that Waldron was a lazy moron who did very little to engage with Williams and actually do film study and breakdowns with him, or as they call it in the biz...YOUR FUCKING JOB!

Thom Rees would never.

Not too long ago, Waldron was seen as an NFL HC candidate. He's been two Super Bowl winning staffs.

Remarkable stuff.

The offense was substantially smoother in operation to begin the game than I expected. That's cause for less doom and gloom

It's not his first incident in the NFL. I was vocal about wanting the Bears to take him, but the incident between him and Felicianos a year or two ago convinced me Jalen's days of immaturity are not gone

I laughed this morning when I read his statement after the game.

"I wasn't mad, I walked off the field calm."

Good for you, man. You spit in another player's face, getting ejected and leaving your teammates out to dry, but kudos for how you handled your trip back to the locker room before the first offensive snap.

Suspension should be coming down, no room in the game for that nonsense.

There was no equity for the Bears to risk drafting him, and while he would have been very useful for them, they were so bad it really would not have made a difference who they drafted that year. They needed help everywhere.

He's 24 years old. I want to hold out hope that he's still redeemable, but this latest incident doesn't help him much. Bears were right to take a pass then and we're seeing why now.

The Ben Johnson Era begins.

The Lions' first game without him wasn't pretty. I hope it somehow correlates to how his tenure with the Bears will go.

It was inevitable that the Lions O might come out the gate a little clunky with a new OC, but yesterday was far worse than expected. Ben Johnson being gone certainly played a part, but I suspect losing Ragnow to retirement (and so late in the offseason) affected the team more than anything. Dude was the most important player on their OL.

We'll find out soon enough.

I fully expected the Packers to look good, but not THAT good. Probably too early to panic about the Lions, but I'm really curious to see how the Bears progress with Johnson along with how the Lions do without him.

Barring a complete disaster like we saw with Flus last year or undeniable massive success, I won't put stock into much of what we see until midseason. Maybe around week 9 or 10

Yeah, hoping for a great outcome, but not trusting any results one way or another until we get to mid-season. Either way, Bear Down!
