So as I said, it's your subjective feeling of what counts as a legit analyst with football experience. You have zero football experience, so clearly your take is wrong.

Link please....

All honesty no hard feelings here gentlemen, good solid debate.
I mean to me..... Yes. If your haven't been in professional football playing or coaching and just writing. There's no validity to your take. Sorry that's my arrogant subjectivity in play

Bears just need to re-start the clock on the offense entirely. Getsy isnt it, but Fields isnt it either.

I think Flus has done enough to change that defense and the culture of the team from the Nagy years, but I'd give him 1 more season to figure out how to close games. And if I were poles I'd try to land a 1 year veteran QB (Kirk Cousins maybe? He might be available) to let the rookie QB learn under, but under a better OC.

This is really what it comes down to.

It was talked about last year draft time and I'm sure it will be again if they get the #1 pick.

Sorry my dream scenario is two top 5 picks and draft MHJ and alt

There's a reason the offense looked better with Tyson effing Bagent than it has with Fields. They have the same average pocket time, but sure, the Philly OL is head and shoulders better. The o-line for Hurts looks better because Hurts makes better, faster decisions and doesn't stand there like he's never seen decent coverage or a delayed blitz in his life.
No it didn't. The Raiders game. That was it.

Luke Getsy actually called plays the first game that he should have been calling for Fields but never did. That first quarter was quite the "WTF" moment.

Again, they're doing to Fields what Nagy did to Trubisky. Different regimes, same nonsense.

I do not agree that Hurts and Fields are the same, either. The organizations might be different, yes, but so are the two dudes in question.

LT isn't even the biggest concern on the offensive line. They badly need to upgrade at center.
Yep. Two biggest issues on the line right now are the black hole at C and the fact Jenkins can't stay on the field. Jones was good enough yesterday against Garrett that, if you're the GM, you don't feel like you have to draft a LT in the first round.

I get the point you are trying to make here, but Trubisky is objectively bad. I mean the guy just got benched for Mason Rudolph.

But to your point, Nagy probably broke him.

He did. Did nothing in terms of play calling that was going to benefit him. Square Peg Round Hole mentality. Stubborn stupidity.

He's been getting hit like this all year and not getting calls.

Hard to play into your mid 40s if the rules don't apply to everyone.

Flus and Poles should be in the media weekly about this, as this is happening to him every week. Protect the kid, regardless if hes the future QB or not.

Robert Toryan dropped a 74 yard TD pass. What more do people want from Fields? After DJ Moore and Cole Kmet, who is reliable around him?

What is happening to Fields is exactly what happened to Trubisky. You can't draft square peg player and try to fit him into a round hole offense. We've seen this story before under consecutive regimes....who are different regimes.

This is why I'm worried about Poles drafting Caleb and choosing a new coaching staff. It might be up to Kevin Warren to can Poles, can Eberflus and start fresh. The infrastructure makes this an attractive job.
This. This is the first year he has really anyone to throw to in Moore and Fields. The OL is getting better, but Patrick and Jones need to be gone. DJ Moore is 5'10". You need another alpha big target. How about the Bears actually invest in the line and a legit #1 receiver. We haven't done this almost in my entire life. Jimbo Covert and Willie Gault, that is it. 42 years and can not develop a franchise LT or WR. The defense looks good. Now go out and get someone who can actually call plays, and run an offense. If you draft Williams or Maye, it is the same exact thing happening over again as Flus and Getsy are inept to develop a QB. Invest in the offense for a god damn change. Maybe don't hire someone who is not the reason the offense is successful. Getsy was a QB coach for a hall of famer that made him look competent. Nagy was sucking on Reid's Tit. Get someone who has shown they can develop an offense from the ground up, not from someone elses successes.

Add Tom Waddle to the list of people whose opinion matters saying it's time to move on.

HOLY SHIT, I want Mike McDaniel associated with ND somehow. That was an awesome review session to call out the top players and himself and then say, "let's get to work".

Luke Getsy's offense managed 9 points (3 field goals) against one of the most maligned defensive coordinators in the League.

Regardless of whoever the GM, head coach and QB are going to be I don't see a great deal of justification in keeping him.

As a Steelers fan, I hope our GM makes a phone call to Chicago. I’d take Fields.

I'm completely torn. I like Fields and see potential, but I haven't seen enough improvement. Could it be not enough help around him...shitty OC? I don't know! If they move Fields, then they need to completely start over.

Still dying on the defending Fields hill. The OL and WRs were trash yesterday.

It won't matter who the QB and OC are if they don't fix the OL. Yesterday was borderline embarassing for the G's and C. C and Nate Davis (when he played) are awful. Jenkins excels in run blocking, but needs help in pass pro and the C's have provided none of that.
Whether it is Fields, Williams (hopefully not), Maye, Getsy or whoever, it isn't gonna matter much until they fix the OL...starting with C.

Oline is and has been embarrassing for the 3 years Fields has been there, but do you keep Fields?
