McGlinchey is going to Denver.

KC Chiefs appear to be going all in on OL again signing Jawaan Taylor and exploring a trade for Laremy Tunsil. The Chiefs learned their lesson from that SB they lost to the Bowles Bucs defense. Protect your best asset and get OL to a position of strength.

Bears have to do this with Fields if they are going to take the next step.

My biggest fear is they're going to be cheap and try to plug big holes with mediocre talent. Eventually they're going to need to spend some of that salary cap money and it's going to need to be along the lines.

I'm glad they aren't overpaying like a lot of these teams are. And as much as I would love to see the Bears keep getting great ND players, McGlinchey is an above average tackle that is very suspect with pass blocking. Is he worth top 7 money? Not so sure, and clearly the Bears weren't willing to pay what Denver did.

Not saying you're wrong. I just don't want to see gaping holes on both lines go unaddressed. Unfortunately the nature of the business now in every single market is overpaying. Eventually, I think they're going to need to do the same. Hopefully, they pick the right spots to do so with the least downside.

Yea, this is going places. They're getting better in a hurry. DJ Moore, Edmunds, Edwards, and Davis are veteran talent while still having 5 top 100 picks (103 to be exact).

I honestly see them using the first pick on either the Ohio State OT or Broderick Jones. With the 39th pick from Carolina i'd take either one of the best Centers left or Mazi Smith from Michigan. With the 53rd pick I'd take Nolan Smith from Georgia DE or Foskey at DE. With the 64th pick id take the RB spears from Tulane I think this kid is electric and gonna be a big time play maker.

Very curious to see what Orlando Brown does. My inclination is that Poles wants to keep Braxton Jones at LT, but I'm sure Orlando Brown is looking for +$20M AAV with a massive guarantee which aligns with LT money.

I don’t think Foskey will be on the board by 53, maybe he will, but I’d be a little bit surprised after his combine

Based on some of the scouting reports, Skoronski is projected to be a guard. That said, I think there's a scenario in which Poles signs a veteran tackle and then drafts Skoronski. Could fill an immediate void at guard while opening the possibility of moving him to tackle.

I think Skoronski is a left tackle, but that’s just me. I hope he falls to 17.

Funny enough. Poles, Eberflus, and OL coach Chris Morgan are all at Northwestern's pro day.

I’m indifferent to what the Bears do but as a fan you’ve got to be very happy w these moves. Well done.

It's a 30 minute shot down 94 from Halas Hall to NU.

Probably a lot of intent on looking at Skoronski.
I would bet they aren't there for Skoronski (being that he projects more as a guard at the next level), but more for Adetomiwa Adebawore.

I feel like Paris Johnson will be the play if they go O-Line at #9 (if he's still there)

He projects to a perennial Pro Bowl guard and first year starter with a Zack Martin comp. Very good combine. They're looking at Skoronski for sure. Top OL in the draft by most accounts.

I have no doubt they're looking at Adebawore too. He graded out well athletically at the Combine but he's certainly a tweener who is going to get and need more looks for that reason.

If I'm the Bears, I want to make sure I hit with these picks and while some may not think Skoronski has the OT upside, he's about as sure of a thing as you'll find in the draft. Whether that is at OG or OT, not sure I care. I just care that he increases the overall talent of the OL.

Exactly. He was an LOT in college so you slot him in at LOG in the pros and leave him there for Pro Bowls to come. He can run block like a son of a bitch and at the end of the day Justin Fields is your prized asset. You do what is in the best interests of maximizing his talents.

I don't know enough about the other guys at Edge other than Will Anderson to know if they merit taking at #9. I'd go with my top guy at OL at #9 and if they're gone then trade back again and get more picks.

Tyree Wilson probably has a higher ceiling than Will Anderson. Drafting off potential/ceiling probably isn’t a good idea in the top 10. 6’6”, 270 pound edge rushers don’t grow on trees. He’d be a great pick at 9.

I’m sure there are better picks to make at #9 but there are also worse. Sometimes, much worse which negates the benefit of the pick altogether. I’m not risking shit. Going with a guy that seems like a lock to be a good pro for many years.
