They're doing it so they can get the news and be the first to announce regardless of the decision. I'd be more optimistic if he was following the beat writers. Is he following any ND staff?

While I’m awake:

- Notre Dame has felt this was done at least 3 times. Not that I matter, but that’s why I’ve adjusted the timeline multiple times.

- He’s indicated multiple times he’s ready to come to a decision.

- Notre Dame has now adjusted his offer 4 different times, and I assure you, it’s damn good.

- He’s been very specific about the role he invisions for himself, down to minuscule details.

- Everyone at Notre Dame still feels good about this getting done, and that’s why I had my friend pass that along to all of you last night.

- Still, Notre Dame is becoming quite weary of the back and forth, and the adjusted decision timelines.

Frankly, if Blanchard wasn’t a flat out generational talent, Notre Dame would have closed up shop, and moved forward with the other 2 candidates they’ve had in mind. (I won’t name them)

If ND had to adjust their offer 4 times there's something holding him back that's probally not money related? Maybe he doesn't wanna move away from friends and family in the area maybe he doesn't wanna move at all

On the II pod they talk about how much autonomy (100%) he has at TT and there are doubts he would be given the same hands off treatment from MF. Like MF would likely want to reserve veto power in some cases and that might not be something Blanchard is willing to accept.
