2020 recruiting in the midwest just became open season for Notre Dame. Pivotal recruiting year because they could steal some elite recruits from Ryan Day and a retired Urbie.

Looks like it. If those reports are true, they're trying to minimize any damage to the recruiting. I wonder if it will have any effect on the Nuteyes performance tomorrow night?

That might be a big enough job for him to take. But, he is probably and hopefully their 5th choice out of those 5 candidates (Satterfield, Norvell, Fickell, Day, Long). However the dominoes could still hit home if Norvell takes it and Long is interested in a return to Memphis.

...or if Fickell gets the job, Cincy comes after him offering $2.5M. Hope Satterfield or Day gets it. He's not going to App St and he wouldn't go to OSU with Urbie on the way out next year.

They need to stay away from Fickell.

Cincy was a year ahead of schedule in terms of on-field success, so it's only right that Fickell gets his third year of seasoning and gets a chance to be a NY6 buster.

Figured they go after Locksley. If I were him, I'd get Maryland and Louisville in a bidding war, go to Louisville, and tell Maryland "you should have promoted me back when..."

Bobinski said one of the first things he did after meeting with Brohm on Nov. 12 (the day after Petrino's firing) was schedule a meeting with school president Mitch Daniels and Board of Trustees chairman Mike Berghoff. The topic of that meeting with Bobinski, Daniels and Berghoff was the future financial commitment Purdue was willing to make to Brohm.

"Our goal with some of this was to remove, as best we can, any financial reason for (Brohm) to make the move. We didn't want that to be a factor," Bobinski said. "We recognized the emotional connection was significant so we needed to not let everything tilt in the other direction. We needed to give ourselves a fighting chance."

In an interview with ESPN 680 radio in Louisville Friday morning, Brohm confirmed that both Purdue and Louisville's pitches were financially competitive and money wasn't a factor in his decision to stay at Purdue.

"That wasn’t a factor," Brohm said in the radio interview. "I think Vince and the university there did a great job and they’re going to have great success. No, it was just not a factor. It was just trying to figure out what to do.”

Tucker, to me, is kind of a meh (the loss of him). So long as Kirby is there, the D will be good. The only one possibly learning a new system is the new DC assuming they don't promote from within.
