Mills is playing a different position Nana was a back up cross played great last week marist is playing a hundred times better this year and Bertrand is steady I have no idea what you are talking about the big difference is you have no one to game plan for like a foskey. Did you ever play football?
Cross and mills are not playing their best, nana got worse, Marist is not as good as 2020, betrand played his best in 2021

Agreed on Mills and NaNa. Hard disagree on everybody else.

Cross wasn't great today, but the prior 3 games, he's been a beast. Bertrand was also coming off a very good game against NC State and his absence was VERY noticeable today.

Marist is playing some of his best football so far this season. Today was his worst game (which you can say for pretty much everybody on defense sans Onye), but he's been very impressive in the 3 games prior.

Marists 22 tackles in 2020? And the inside guys are going to have problems when you don't have a good edge you don't have to slide your protection to account for a foskey you are almost always going to go up against a double team unless you bring pressure. Like I said I don't think you've played football

Agree Marist is better than last year, not sure 2020. Betrand strong disagree, don’t think he’s played well, always a step slow

Cross is playing good for his snap count, but I feel he was better in 2021 on less snaps

- Really impressed with Onye, JPP, and surprisingly Hinish.
- Mills has continued to be underwhelming
- Our middle is charmin soft
- Don't like the hits Sam took but some of those are on him. He's standing in there too long and he needs to protect himself too.
- Estime is a dog but I didn't love the carries he got considering the situation. Unless there were some in last minutes I missed, I think JD and Love got 4 total. That's not enough, they're too talented and Estime is too valuable going into OSU.
- It was great to see Merriweather get going. He needed that confidence boost.
- Rico got that dog in him, you can tell.
- Jaden Mickey is always supposed to break out, but is always getting burnt or a penalty it seems.
- First time I was unimpressed with Al Golden
- Loved Porker running pitches. We had been so between the tackles and our RBs combined with OL could slay on those pitches. I hope a fake pitch roll out is in the playbook, I have to think it is.
- Not sure Thomas Harper could be any more impressive than he has been. Dude does not miss.

Still not playing at the level I'd hoped for however, they haven't played their best game. Saving it for next week 🤞

Bertrand is the general back there…..the defense definitely missed his direction today. I’d bet that the coaches would say the same thing.

1. Harper coming on at the perfect time… the week before you play a crazy WR group. BENMO, Hart and now Harper give you a chance to keep MHJ and Egbuka from killing you.

2. A lot of true 4-WR looks today it felt like. Thomas, Toby, Tyree and Greathouse is a video-game style group. I like it.

3. Hoping the defense was soft because they spent too much early prep time on OSU’s playbook… but idk if teams even do that at this level lol. More likely that you’re hoping for Onye to keep developing and turning into a dude next to Cross, hopefully helping shore up the interior run D as the year goes on.

4. Carter starting to flash a little bit, even if he’s not actually making the plays yet. Another one where it would be perfect if the lightbulb has clicked on at the perfect time. He seems to be more of a run support DB right now.

5. Idk why… maybe I’m just a Pollyanna with Green-colored glasses on…. But it feels like Parker and Golden both have another level of playcalling and scheming they can hit. I’m hoping we’re watching a movie script unfold, where Parker has just been waiting to unleash the truly multiple, pick-your-poison offense. Either Hartman throws for 400+ and 5 TD’s next week in a win, or Estime goes for 200+ total scrimmage yards in a win. Golden has pressure packages in his back pocket that can actually GET HOME instead of being too telegraphed, and ND has 5 sacks and 2 turnovers in a win. Do it all at the same time and make a fucking statement! (More likely it’s a good battle that comes down to not letting OSU make a back-breaking big play in the passing game, and/or getting a turnover at a key time)

Am I wrong? Go back and read the thread you’d think the sky was falling for a game won by 24 and out gained them by 300+ yds.
So you go back through every game day thread and read real time posts in the heat of the moment when most are blowing off steam and take them as gospel. You may need a hobby my friend.

You really think previous nd teams/players would be putting up these kinds of numbers?
I think his point is that comparing ND stats after 4 games to most other teams after 3 games isn’t an apples-to-apples comparison. I think that’s fair.

That's not how it works. You don't have your will calling alignments that's the Mike's job
They’ve been preaching cross training forever so they all can do each others jobs … if betrand is only capable person to get plays in and adjustments thats coaching
