That NC State game was not as easy as the final score indicated. It was 24-17 with 2 minutes left in the 3rd quarter, and they had the ball inside our 20

And I don't think anyone considers NC State a top 30 team
They won as many as we did last year in the regular season.
They were top 30, they were just outside the top 25 in “receiving other votes” category.
And that’s why you play 60 minutes, not 43.
ND was up 45-17 at one point.

It's just weird that you consider it struggle-free ND win compared to OSU-IU. Neither ND or OSU were seriously threatened in those road games and basically won by 20 points

Did you see the NC State offense? The pollsters clearly had it wrong if they thought they were a top 30 team

Yeah exactly, it's weird to make such definitive statements using iffy data. The ND-NC State and IU-OSU games have no predictive value for this upcoming game
Once again.
The discussion was about Pete Sampson changing his opinion.
Read the posts before you jumped in.
And it’s not iffy data.
They play 60 minutes, not 43.
And NCSU was top 30.

Did that Jean Baptiste play forcing the ball being passed into the dirt count as a sack?
