Did the zoo and fall festival today. Played like shit and won by 24? We wouldn’t have done that in the past.

On to next week…

Anyone else think Sam holds on to the ball a little too long. That one pass to Tyree I was jumping out of my seat for him to just throw it. And looks like Colzie didn’t play again.
Yes that'd be my only criticism of Hartman

Positives
- Watching Sam Hartman play has been a highlight of my fandom.
- WR’s are peaking. We continue to see very good development of the whole group. It comes at a good and much needed time.
- Staes is really something as a pass catcher.
- Thomas Harper is a top 5 player for me. Love that guy. If ND beats OSU, I’ll say he comes up with a big play or two.
- We should get Rubio back for next week which should help.
- Freeman testing out Spencer Shrader could also be a difference in a win or loss next week. Kids got the leg.

Negatives.
- I’m not going to be overly negative about the game but I will say that I don’t believe we’re seeing the type of development I’d expect out of the front 7. If the response is, these guys just aren’t very good to begin with. Well, that doesn’t really answer why some are playing worse than they did two years ago. Or, if these guys really are that bad, why can’t we develop the young talent behind them. Just doesn’t seem like the production line is working like it used too.
Maybe it is a lack of recruiting from previous staff members

Harper was out the entire second half, any word why? I like Harper a lot, not Lewis

What makes you think we get Rubio back, he was limping a week ago in street clothes from today

Which, as I stated, I knew would be the response and does nothing to explain why the same guys are less productive or the young guys can’t pass them up. We’re getting neither.

Going off of the previous expectation. Maybe I’ve missed it but has there been an updated timeline that says he won’t be.

- Classic look ahead to next week game.
- Without naming names, I’m not impressed with certain players on the offensive line, defensive line, and linebackers.
- They can still win next week, I give them a puncher’s chance, but the defensive front seven concerns me more and more. Aside from a couple of players, they really don’t look too good.
- For fuck’s sake, don’t be a rat. Don’t sell tix to OSU fans. Buy tickets and give them to family and friends that pull for ND. This is the premier game of the week. Keep the red out.

Ugly win but it is a win. Hartman missed some easy throws.

Estime is a freaking beast.

Glad Tobias got his big catch and TD. Same with Tyree.

JBB was all over the place.

Harper was laying some hits in the first half.

We have to figure out some returns.

The D line did well last week however today was not very good.

The WR’s showed up today and did what they were supposed too.

Defense needs to play a lot better next week in order to win.

4 with 40 points not bad

A puncher’s chance? That’s absurd

Great Job by Estime, Hartman and the offense in general.
Harper, JJB, Marist, and ONYE, played well on D, but a lot to clean up on that side of the ball.
Enjoy this one tonight. Tomorrow, bright and early it’s OSU week!

Sure. I agree. It’s better than that. Way better. I’ve had plenty of pitchers of Shiner Bock. 😂 At this point, I’d say it’s 60/40 Ohio State. ND’s offensive and defensive line and some of their linebackers concern me. Before today, I wasn’t concerned at all about the offensive line…today just left a sour feeling. The same old penalties are nauseating too. I get it for games 1 or 2, but you’ve got 4 under your belt now. Also, I didn’t see any of the Ohio State game, but I’ve read they are starting to shape up.

Mills nana cross betrand Marist
Marist is night-and-day better than he was last season. I was frankly not a fan coming in to this year but he's been our best LB so far. Agree on Mills, and if Nana played today I didn't notice him. Bertrand is what he is. I look forward to Sneed or Jr beating him out but until then...

I will say, JJB, Onye and pretty much all the DBs have been excellent.

Mills is playing a different position Nana was a back up cross played great last week marist is playing a hundred times better this year and Bertrand is steady I have no idea what you are talking about the big difference is you have no one to game plan for like a foskey. Did you ever play football?

F all that shit! We have a better QB, better RB, better OT and better CB. Add to that our depth and we’re winning this game! We are better everywhere this season except the absence of Foskey who wasn’t an every down contributor. It was in the road last year with zero QB play. We are very likely undefeated last year with Sam Hartman at QB and OSU was better last year. We get 3 turnovers next week and 5 sacks on an immobile QB.

Feel free to quote me often next week!

Yeah. We gave Ohio State a game last year, and our offense is vastly better this year, while our defense is probably equal (and maybe a better matchup as the best unit on our defense is the DBs). Also we're at home. 50-50 is the floor here. I pick us, by 4.

Or a last second win with Book. Crazy what an offense looks like when the QB can hit the deep ball with ease.
The running game looked really good at times too.

This is all fair, I do think Central Michigan is an opponent primed to make a front 7 look bad in the running game. The majority of their talent is probably on the OLine (especially in the run game), and very much fit to them, but I don’t feel too bad about the front 7 yet.

Any word on Hartman and if he is injured? Putuporshutup said Harper didn't finish the game... is he injured?
