this is only the 4th time in 20 years that ND has won 4 games in a row by 21+ points

Other years:
2021 (Navy, VT, GT, Stanford)
2019 (Duke, Navy, BC, Stanford)
2017 (Miami OH, UNC, USC, NC St)

Enjoy it.

You are correct, but it does beg the question why did he take TB with him to Tuscaloosa?

I couldn’t answer that, especially considering Ty Simpson was already there. Someone Tommy was high on as a recruit.

But, it’s obvious that Tommy has made multiple questionable decisions since he landed one of the most important QB recruits in ND history.

We should just all remember that we’re trashing the guy that brought us Hartman. I’ll forever love Tommy for getting to watch Hartman play football at Notre Dame. It’s been a dream.

Jeesh. We won. The guys getting most of this talk don't play nor coach for us. They have their own (useless) threads.

We won. We scored greater than forty points again. Defense nearly shut them out in second half.
Some of the team probably wasn't as fired up as usual --- natural human behavior given the schedule.
Sam had to spread it around --- and he did that beautifully. We showed OSU nothing they can plan against.
(Coaches stuck entirely with Estime for some reason --- he rolled but why the low use of our other RBs?)
MANY fancy teams struggled WAY more than we did.
What really is not to like? We're ready for the big bad buckeyes.

As bad looking as this game was, it was a balanced attack. I still don't miss Tommy. Bring on OSU!

Sam Hartman was getting a few cheap shots today from CMU between going low and leg twists. 2 easy roughing calls in the NFL. He is 71% passing through 4 games with 15 touchdowns and 1 lost fumble, 0 INTs. If he has a 60% passing multi TD game against OSU in a win, IDK how he is not the Heisman front runner.

The defense collectively didn’t show up, but Onye and JJB flashed in a big way. I think they’re finding something there with those two.

Staes with the hold on Estime’s long run was disappointing because it killed the drive at a semi-pivotal point. He didn’t need to hold and Estime still would have gotten at least a few yards. At least he made up for it with that slick 1 hander.

I couldn’t be happier for Tyree and Merriweather. Hopefully that’s the start of something good.

Sleepy game. I tried to only half watch it as I had a feeling they’d be looking past CMU a bit. As long as full health next week I am more than confident the team can win

I saw this each time. Clearly, it was an intentional game plan by the CMU defense, they had to be coached on this, or at the very least the players made an independent decision. Total bush league. And NO REF CALLS! So pissed about this

I was actually hoping for Freeman to give their head coach some crap about it at the end of the game. We need a little more fight in us about these kinds of things

For me, besides the Navy game the offense has had some up and down moments. The fact that Hartman leads the FBS in td’s and estime leads in rushing, along with scoring 40+ in 4 straight games, continues to make me realize the sky is the limit for this team.

Defense didn’t have its best showing and it happens. Go Irish! Beat Bucks!

Audric is the best back in college football if I was a team he’s the first back I’m taking in the NFL next year
That is hype but he is dang good. Top 3. I bet he doesn’t get drafted somehow.

Good win today. Great first 4 games to start the season. Great job of scheduling to set us up to make a run. Fired up for next week!

Positives
- Watching Sam Hartman play has been a highlight of my fandom.
- WR’s are peaking. We continue to see very good development of the whole group. It comes at a good and much needed time.
- Staes is really something as a pass catcher.
- Thomas Harper is a top 5 player for me. Love that guy. If ND beats OSU, I’ll say he comes up with a big play or two.
- We should get Rubio back for next week which should help.
- Freeman testing out Spencer Shrader could also be a difference in a win or loss next week. Kids got the leg.

Negatives.
- I’m not going to be overly negative about the game but I will say that I don’t believe we’re seeing the type of development I’d expect out of the front 7. If the response is, these guys just aren’t very good to begin with. Well, that doesn’t really answer why some are playing worse than they did two years ago. Or, if these guys really are that bad, why can’t we develop the young talent behind them. Just doesn’t seem like the production line is working like it used too.

41 points. Damn near 600 yards of offense and it wasn’t perfect. Damn good win, some stuff to clean up obviously. Some of you guys really don’t understand the flow of games and are way too invested in every play. Relax. This is supposed to be enjoyable.

Anyone else think Sam holds on to the ball a little too long. That one pass to Tyree I was jumping out of my seat for him to just throw it. And looks like Colzie didn’t play again.

Another win with many sloppy mistakes and penalties. We are not getting any lucky bounces on these potential turnovers. At some point they will fall our way. Sam Hartman is the difference between possible 12-0 and 8-4. ND deserves a QB of his caliber. We need to go back in the portal for next season.

We've put up over 40 every week and have won by over 20 every week. It was the week before osu without the quarterback of the defense. Sneed should only be in to come of the edge

That's every game thread. It's a place to let off steam and "talk" nonsense. They're all like that.
And every time we get a win someone swoops in with a well dont all you chicken littles look the fool. Welp not so muck ballsack swaddler.. its the purpose of the damn game day thread for a bunch of middle aged over worked under paid dads to piss about the one thing in their life that actually doesn’t matter but is a fun distraction to care about. So anyone and there are like a dozen of you jock sniffers that rotate each game that come with that ol bullshit I just wanna consistently tell ya to eat a dick and congratulations on the 4 thumbs up you get from the rest of your circle jerk posè

Key next week is gonna be to limit the penalties on offense and get to McCord and make him make fast decisions he can’t run so you don’t have to worry about that. Put Morrison in Harrison and let them go at it. We need one of these fumbles to go our eay
