+ Drew Pyne played really, really well. His only blemish, really, was a tipped pass that is more a result of him being 5’9 than anything else.

+ The OL has really gelled. I’ve made this point the past couple weeks, but again tonight I thought our front 5 was fantastic. Pyne had plenty of time and we ran the ball effectively.

+ Look, Jayden Mickey and Ben Morrison are true freshmen. They’re going to make mistakes. It’s on Golden that he put Mickey in that spot—but I think it says A LOT that he made that call with Mickey in that spot.

+ Our defense is better without Bertrand in there. It’s true.

+ Marist Liufau may be the worst blitzing linebacker I’ve seen. He’s so athletic, but maybe allow him to excel elsewhere? He never gets home and is always out of position.

+ Did Mayer have a reception in the 2H?

+ Jon Sot fan club in Section107 next weekend, BYOB.

I’ll never understand the infatuation with the pistol formation inside the 3 yard line. You’re taking the football from the two, back to the six, and handing it off at 6.5 yards. The defense has their momentum coming downhill—it really is not a winning scenario for an offense, there.
