I don't agree with the way he left but good for him..Takes stones to go for 2. He felt like he couldn't get ND to win a Championship. BOT and administration holds down the program. Here's the ultimate data point

I’m actually happy for him.. He finally beat Nick. But it feels like the crowd comment was another dig at ND..

Maybe not.. but he does like to do that.

I appreciate what BK did and hate the way he left the team. He did what he could. Goes to a school who has more 5 stars and that's the difference.. ND isn't able to get 5 stars like other schools and that's on the University of Notre Dame itself. Going to enjoy this win against Clemson

I took it as definitely a comment on that crowd versus what he is use to at ND but not really as a dig but as a statement of fact. Everyone on this forum seems to acknowledge ND needs to lift its game in this regard.

I'm probably in the minority, I dislike how Kelly left as much as anyone....BUT, I can NEVER root for Alabama to win. I feel weird about it, but I'm glad LSU won. So tired of the Saban era. Though I will also be totally fine if Kelly never wins a Natty at LSU! lol

That’s some monkey paw shit man, Kelly winning several would be even more insufferable.

IF we had lost to Clemson, and LSU still beat Bama, itd be different. But all seems right in the world right now. Peyton Bowen was there, right? Along with tons of other prospects. Who wouldn't want to be a part of that? Recievers maybe?

Leave it to Kelly to upstage ND tonight. I have to admit after that debacle in the opener against FSU I am shocked at the turnaround he has led.

We all know he is a good coach. He is a scumbag, but he was OUR scumbag for a decade. He failed in almost every big game here, and I dont fault him for chasing the $$. Plain fact is, we have a first time head coach who is out recruiting him, and as of tonight, winning a big game decisively, which Kelly almost never did at ND.

It helps being able to go into the portal and land a talent like Jayden Daniels. That kind of helps things a bit.

Meanwhile, ND is stuck with the scraps he left behind at QB.

Kelly is a GREAT coach that got very lazy here. He found out quickly just how hard he had to work to keep the very top kids in the fold (even after they got on campus) and decided his golf game was more important.

I'm thankful he came here and rebuilt the program. I got very comfortable with the security blanket of Kelly's 9-11 wins every year even though we got beat down every time we faced one of the big 3. Truth be told, I probably would've been fine with him staying.

But watching that team last night. Just completely dismantle a top 4 undefeated Dabo team LOADED with Sunday talent has me thinking bigger. Marcus has found a way to get this team up for the big boys. If he had anything at the QB position he beats OSU in the Shoe and we're ranked number 1 with two top 4 wins this year.

It took half a year for Tommy and Harry to get the line rolling like the 90's Cowboys, but it's happening. With the talent in the pipeline and the experience coming back, I expect they hit the ground running next year and continue to roll for the foreseeable future. Last night proved something: Marcus CAN coach at this level. His program and philosophies are working and once he infuses this program with the talent he's shooting for... watch out!

Kelly is a GREAT coach, but he wasn't GREAT here. He was lazy.
I have no doubt that our record would be almost exactly like it is now, but with losses to Clemson and OSU not Marshall and Stanford.

I'll take the high highs and the lowest lows now because it's going to lead to the ultimate highs in the future.
