DJ Durkin's name is coming up for LSU DC. Kelly and Durkin together....wow.
Still sounds like they're going all in on Baker from Mizzou.
That would be a killer duo for sure.

Baker will be the highest paid assistant in CFB according to reports
I'm good with Baker going to LSU.Good intel. You'd think there had to be a good reason why he hadn't found his way there yet at this point in his career.
Miami seems to be throwing money around, indeed.
Baker was at LSU for one year, Orgeron's last, and Kelly didn't retain him. If there are no hard feelings and they're giving him the keys at DC it seems like a great hire.
Golden deserves more. Let’s hope he gets it.Baker will be the highest paid assistant in CFB according to reports
So apparently Mizzou had a great OC and DC?
Does Dinkleturd do anything there at Mizzou himself?
Prior to getting Denbrock, wasn’t ND kicking the tires on Mizzou’s OC?He called plays on O

I could be mistaken, but I don't think it was ever anybody but Denbrock.Prior to getting Denbrock, wasn’t ND kicking the tires on Mizzou’s OC?
I do remember hearing from the talking heads, but am not sure if Freeman ever got past DenbrockPrior to getting Denbrock, wasn’t ND kicking the tires on Mizzou’s OC?
Gotya. I think you’re correct. Maybe “Coach D” or his flunkie, Vince, had mentioned it.I do remember hearing from the talking heads, but am not sure if Freeman ever got past Denbrock
His name was floated as someone we would/should kick tires on, but it's not clear whether tires were in fact kicked.Prior to getting Denbrock, wasn’t ND kicking the tires on Mizzou’s OC?
Houston, but played college ball at Tulane and coached at Louisiana Tech and LSU.Absolutely wild. Living in South Florida, Canes fans were ready to run this guy out of town as Manny Diaz's DC. What a turnaround.
Good on him. He's a Louisiana guy too, right?
Players are high on Sloan. Many credit him for Daniels’ drastic improvement from 2022 - 2023. Who knows? He did call a nice game in the Bowl. Once he settled in, Nuss looked pretty poised and threw for approximately 400 yards. I’m not implying that Sloan should be the OC, however. Alternatively, I’m not closed off to the idea either.“Amazing coaching staff” LMAO!!!!!!
Here are the LSU recruiting rankings in the ten years preceding Kelly:Very curious about the laziness path of least resistance recruiting strategy Mentioned here. CBK appears to have an aggressive approach to getting the best kids regardless of where they live. 2025 has #1 player overall QB. #1 RB, #1 Receiver, #1 TE committed. He seems to have been energized by the change of scenery and we hope that brings us another title soon. I respect ND for what you’ve accomplished in the past, Denbrock with the right weapons can do for you what he did for us. Good luck next year.

Median of #5.
In his two full classes, he ranked 6th and 8th… his most recent is worse than all but two LSU classes above, and even the 6th ranked one is below average. The one that is 12th is also his partial class.
Similarly, Freeman in his partial class + two full classes had better classes in average + overall rating than all but one of Kelly’s classes. It is what it is. Kelly has a lot of positives, but he does not work hard on the trail. Anyone who tells you different is either misleading you intentionally or is uninformed.

I think when Denbrock expressed interest , it was him and only him.I could be mistaken, but I don't think it was ever anybody but Denbrock.
Please look at the colors and logos of like half the teams in Louisiana. Purple, yellow, and Tiger. You are bred to be an LSU Tiger. Top 3 (maybe 1) in-state recruiting advantageHere are the LSU recruiting rankings in the ten years preceding Kelly:
