Blind af man, I swear. 10 years into Brian Kelly's tenure and you guys still think something different is gonna happen, and belittle anyone who says otherwise. You realize I'm the rational, coherent thinker, here right? Expecting a different outcome, having a 10 year sample size to the contrary, makes YOU delusional. That's why people make fun of our fanbase, fans like you think we're something we're not...something we haven't been for a LONG time.

I completely disagree with the rational, coherent thinker argument. You've definitely been a bit unhinged since the Michigan loss. Yeah, it sucked, that's the damn honest truth. It's not an indicator of where this program is though, it was just an awful night in a storm that we can't take back. You've gone on to stump for bringing in a number of other possible head coaches in place of Brian Kelly, most of which are not realistically coming to South Bend.
This is not the 70s. Notre Dame is not the only program regularly on TV each Saturday. We have scholarship limitations these days, and the best athletes often can't get into ND because of academic restrictions. Many things have changed in the last 20-30 years making it much tougher to win at Notre Dame. Even in a hypothetical situation where you get Urban or Saban to come to ND (Which they aren't), it's folly to think they're going to enjoy the same successes they had at Alabama or Ohio State because both programs do things very differently from Notre Dame. At Ohio State Joey Bosa missed one game for weed, yet at Notre Dame he would have missed a season. That's a rather big difference, and it's just the tip of the iceberg.
Do I think Kelly can win a national championship at ND? Probably not, not without some crazy good luck like Clemson somehow losing two games in a season and missing the playoffs. I also think it's unlikely a better coach is coming to ND and can improve on what Kelly has accomplished. I think he's the best coach available to us right now and it would be silly to run him off because anyone you bring in will likely achieve less and then we're back to mediocrity again. These days it would be nice to win those big games like Georgia, but people forget that it's hard to win in college football and it's even harder to upset a good team. Kelly has lost some big games, but how many of those were we favored in? Don't expect miracles and then cry when they don't happen.
I wish you good luck on your journey, hopefully you can find a way to move past all this. I hope you come to realize that we live in a very different landscape when it comes to college football these days and it's incredibly difficult to compete with the true football factories out there. It's impressive Kelly has been able to improve the program, getting to the NCG and the playoff are no easy feats. Only 9 teams in all of college football have even seen the playoff, and we're one of those teams. Try to focus on the positives and not get so wrapped up in the negative.
