Notre Dame Head Football Coach, Brian Kelly will start a "new tradition" for Irish fans. Beginning this Thursday -- and every Thursday thereafter during the season -- Coach Kelly will host his own radio show from Legends, with Jack Nolan, from 7 PM to 8 PM EST. Notre Dame fans can attend the show live at Legends (on the Notre Dame campus) or listen on Audio outlets; WSBT 960AM in South Bend, UND.com, WXNT 1430 AM in Indianapolis, and Sirius/XM Satellite Radio. WSBT, WXNT and und.com will carry the show live; Sirius/XM will carry it the following day at a time to be determined.

Show starts this Thursday. I believe Kelly started this his last year at Cincy.

My wife has no idea what the hell I'm infatuated with regarding Notre Dame.

She says: you don't know any of the players, you never went to the school, and you've never even been to Indiana. Plus she only thoght Rudy was just ok.

I love her dearly, but she is completely detached from my passion. I have an incredible emotional investment in this team and live and die with all things Notre Dame Football. God bless the Irish and bring on the Boilers!!!!!

My girlfriend knows insanely little about Notre Dame, she loves football but never really paid attention. After dating me and being around my affinity for the Irish, she says the other night to some friends of ours that asked her what she planned on doing when I watched the games... she replied " Watch the game....why would anyone not like Notre Dame, they graduate their players, and stand for something!" I have never been so proud in my life... I am sure she developed this new found fandom as a survival technique.

i'll do you one better, i've not only gotten my wife on board, but she's even looked online to get the dog's (one boston terrier - fenway & puggle - captain jack) and our cat - yogi, ND jerseys. that was after her indoctrination into the history of ND and how important it is to me (that's when we were together our first year).

and now, just a few days ago, she made a point to go online and get our lil girl an irish outfit. *sniff-sniff*......makes....*sniff*, me so......*sniff* proud. **SIGH**

Like many of you, I have it great on the homefront. My wifey not only graduated from ND, she was born and raised in South Bend and her dad works at the University. Her family still lives there, so when we go back home to visit her folks (which is at least 3-4 times a year, I get to go see the beautiful campus as well.

Even better, her dad has season tix so we go to one game a year (this year it is Pitt - can't wait!). My wife watches all the games with me and my buddies...although likes to be quiet and kinda study the game while we are flipping out at every bad call and every great play. She already knows my Saturdays are carved out for college football, and esp ND football of course, so Sundays is when we do husband/wife. But she tolerates the pros too so it's all good!

Like many of you, it's great when your significant other loves ND football...

My Love for ND started very young...my first cousin went to school there...and my wife's broter went to ND. My issue is that my weekend will be dictated by the way ND plays...needless to say I have lost alot of weekends over the past years. ND stands for so much...and I am very blessed and excited to be an Irish Fan.

Funny... most of my friends don't like ND (probably due to my inordinate enthusiasm for the Irish).

You won't believe the amount of grief I've had to put up with over the years. I need a successful season!

I live less than an hour from Austin, Texas.... needless to say, I feel your pain.

The radio show is live cast on UND.com and a live blog runs at the same time. Tonight, I got my question in and BK answered it. It's pretty neat and made the wait for Saturday that much harder. (Question was, "Coach, where do you see the ND football program five years from now?" for those that care.)

Basically, his answer was that he hoped by the end of 5 years we have won a NC or two (which drew big applause) and that the legacy, tradition, and luster of ND had been restored to an elite status. I encourage you to watch the replay when they upload it.

anybody else having trouble running that?

There's two links at the ND website:

The B. Kelly Radio Show (archive now available)
To download an audio podcast of the radio show CLICK HERE.

I clicked on "The B. Kelly Radio Show (University of Notre Dame Official Athletic Site)

It took quite awhile for it to load but it eventually did and I ran it for a minute or so. It's a 58 minute show (which I haven't watched).

I didn't try the podcast link (http://cstvpodcast.cstv.com.edgesuite.net/notredame/090210_kelly_show.mp3)

Hope this helps.
