Man this is getting great, really looking forward to Saturday. I hope no matter the outcome you OU fans come back after. Good luck
Why dont YOU come over and see?
as For Mallen and I we've known each other for several years
Im not really discussing the Game in very much depth simply because it will do no good. Like I said I originally came here to offer insight to NORMAN on game day and stadium Info
Wooly, How do you see the match up between the OU WR's and ND's Defensive backfield? I understand that the plan is get Jones rattled, and have him make bad throws. What happens if he has time? Can they hang with OU's receivers?
Keep telling yourself that. MSU and Stanford are statistically much better than OU at stopping the run (#12/#4 vs OU's #46). They thought they would be able to stop our running game too.
Haven't read this thread the last couple days. I unsubscribed as it appeared to be going nowhere. Turns out I was right.
Let me try and get the facts from what I've missed.
- OU's best offensive player is a FB with a combined 300 yards of offense
- we are going to give up over 5 times our average in points and over twice the most we have allowed all season
- Time of Possession is a pointless stat that should not be kept
- a 3.6 yards per carry can't win a game (3.6x3=10.8=First down)
- Oklahoma has great Antiquing, someone should let these guys know:

- TE's and FB's are somehow comparable
Did I miss anything?

Manners?
Are you saying I have none?
I simply stated my prediction. Sorry if that disturbs any of you .
ND had more speed and was able to get to edge against those teams, that will not be the case saturday.
I doubt it will get too heated. We both think our team is better than it is, and the opponent is worse than it is.
And I certainly won't be around on Friday and Saturday as I make my way up to Norman.
From what i can tell, only 4 teams in the nation average scoring a TD on half of their drives. Kansas State, Baylor, Texas, and La. Tech. Oklahoma is 4th in points allowed per possession, while ND is 2nd. Seems like on the defenses are pretty comparible. Yards per play 4.45 to 4.55 ND has the edge, and both are in the top 15. Numbers wise i would call it a stalemate on defense.
Not necessarily, but it's a context stat. If Notre Dame runs the ball 8 times and picks up 25 yards, they can hold the ball for 7 minutes and punt. If OU scores in 6 plays in 2 minutes, ND's 7 minute TOP didn't help. If ND wins the TOP battle by having 9-minute scoring drives, that's a different story.
Nice cherry picking you done as well

Good to have ya back, Mullen. Thank you for powering America's future.
It's interesting how the Okies matchup problem with Eifert's ability to outmuscle small cornerbacks downfield got morphed into a youtube video of their fullback putting a hit on a cornerback after a ten yard run.
I can't figure out if they have Attention Deficit Disorder, or just have zero understanding of ND football, but shoot from the hip whenever ND's strengths are pointed out to them.
If you're objective is to capture the most inflammatory and outrageous statements..then..yeah. you've pretty much captured it. If you're TRULY trying to sum up the OU sentiment, you clearly chose to ignore my entire post made a couple of hours ago.
Also, I do think it interesting that you guys think we are consistently disrespecting Stanford's defense..when CLEARLY the much more common sentiment on this thread has gone something like this: "K State beat them..and we OBVIOUSLY have a better defense than K State..therefore we will win." Honestly, I expect you guys to rip us..it's your forum. I'm just amazed that the sheer level of disregard for K STATE. Their front 7 isn't quite what ND has, but they have very good overall team D, and their offense, frankly, is more multi-dimensional and scares me more.
