Hoping we somehow play Michigan. It probably isn't possible unless we miss a NY6 bowl but I think a Bowl would scoop up that game quickly.

Iowa would be my top choice. If not then Florida State, Ok State, or Florida would be my others. Baylor, TCU, and Houston would give us fits. I want no part of Ohio State. I'm tired of the Pac-10 so i don't want to play Oregon. I'd be okay with Michigan but not Michigan State only because we are playing them next year.

Florida would be interesting and might be a confidence booster for our defense. And if Florida moves the ball and scores a lot on us then we at least know how epically bad our defense is. And Florida's defense would give us a good perspective on how good our offense is.

Right now the projection is Fiesta or Peach. Fiesta opponents wold be Iowa, MSU or OSU depending on the B1GCG results.

Because ND bowl tie in is with the ACC. So ND would be taking a spot of an ACC team. Or that doesn't matter for the New Years six bowls? Only the lower bowls?

It matters when it comes to the "lower tier bowls". Example, If ND was 8-4 and FSU was 9-3 the bowl would have to choose between those two. Doesn't apply pairing NY6 Bowls.

I am about 5 hours away from Scotsdale and I have a buddy that lives in Phoenix that is a Hawkeyes fan. Iowa in the Fiesta might be a long shot, but it would be cool.

I'd be okay with tOSU. Would be a tough game, and they'd come alive to play us, but if they're focused on the run I think we could slow them down a bit and score enough to win. They love playing the Irish though, so it would be tough and they'd probably be favored. May be the only chance we get to see Urban vs. Kelly though, one or both will likely be gone by the time they play the next game.

As far as overrated opponents, would love to have TCU/Oklahoma State/Iowa. I think we'd pair up nicely with FSU too. We just played LSU, but I'd feel good about a rematch. Any of the SEC teams would be fine really, outside of 'Bama but they'll be likely off the table.

ESPN folks project ND to Fiesta vs either Iowa or Houston. Schlabach and McMurphy are the two making the prognostications.

I think either would be great match ups, for us. Houston had a lot of luck fall their way against navy.

Uconn really got ahold of them.

Iowa, I'm just not impressed with them.

I think we'd beat them by 2-3 TDs.

I would much rather play Iowa. No one will give us much praise for beating Houston and if we happen to lose that would be embarrassing.

I don't get the ACC vs ACC draw for the peach bowl. Nearly every prediction has ND vs FSU/UNC in the peach bowl. I've only seen one have ND in the fiesta with OSU

Because ND didn't play either of those teams.. ND vs FSU is a great matchup.... ND vs Houston or Iowa is less sexy
