Listen, it could be highly possible that someone on here writes for Bleacher Report. If you do, I would hope you don't take offense to anything I say, because I don't claim to be an appeal to any type of qualified authority. But Bleacher Report is so bad. I am so fed up with the garbage, nonsense that they put out. They focus on keywords and tagging every article based solely on search terms. Articles that are written by 17 year olds with no sources, titled "Why this team will make a move before the trade deadline." All based on pure speculation and absurdities.

I just can't stand BR at all.

That's a redundant statement.

I go to BR when Wikipedia is down. I need my factual information.

Glad everyone feels the same way. It's such nonsense. I had my bandwagon buddy send me some article on ND from bleacher report in an email. I was extremely upset.

I signed up to Bleacher Report to respond to a moronic "article" about hockey a while back. That same day I received an e-mail from them asking me if I wanted to become a featured "writer" for the site.

I have absolutely no background in journalism or writing. That should tell you all you need to know about that site.

I like their random rankings... Like "Best Scottish Football Team Post Jock Stein"... "Romania's Top Ten Greatest Gymnasts" Or "Worst Football Teams in SEC history"... They come up with random stuff... Pretty entertaining

The post a lot of Irish stuff from what I've seen, but they've also posted a lot of garbage, so I cringe quite a bit.

There is a reason it is called the "Bleacher Report". If the writers where any good it would be called the "All-Star Report", or the "Starter Report", or f*ck it even the "Back-up on Junior Varsity Report". If there was a writing squad these guys wouldn't even make the bench, instead they would be on the bleachers-- hence the "Bleacher Report"

Bleacher Report isn't so bad if you looks at it like fan fiction. Creative stuff by passionate fans who have no more inside information than the guy who owns a corner sports bar.

It's mostly entertainment. All to be taken with a large grain of salt and a healthy dose of "consider the source" judiciousness.

Anyone or anything that references Bleacher Report for information is like someone referencing Wikipedia for a Masters Thesis.

Maybe we should come up with an article together. What shall our topic be? 25 Best Excuses ND is #1?

Except Wikipedia is almost always correct. You can get great ideas there and corroborate with a reputable source. Bleacher Report is just opinions.

Well yea for a daily use, at home, et cetera, wikipedia is great. But you'd never, ever cite Wikipedia in a Masters Thesis. Why would ESPN try to pull in an article from Bleacher Report where anyone can contribute?

Right, and I didn't cite Wikipedia in my Master's Thesis or Doctoral Dissertation. You just have to go to a reputable source instead of citing Wikipedia. But, their controls have gotten pretty good.

No idea why someone would cite Bleacher Report, unless they are trying to point out opinions that are in the blogosphere.

Watching/Listening to SVP on the TV and he just ripped Bleacher Report. His computer froze up during the break and he came back on saying:

......."is my computer still stuck? Dear Bleacher Report, I HATE YOU. I mean could ya, could you (shakes head), honest to God....you just, ya, the Manziel story from last night, and I'm-I'm, you know, you gotta click, you shh--, YAY, IT'S A FUN SLIDE SHOW! (hilarious hand gesture) pphh, dont get me started. A little too late."

I re-wound that with my DVR to get the exact wording of the comments. It was hilarious.

Scott, I could not agree more. Those slide shows are a worthless, waste of time. Just show me the list rather than taking minutes to load.
