BYU is unbeaten and have given SMU and KSU their only losses of the season so far.

Sooner or later they have to get some respect shown in the polls.

Mike Gundy: Oklahoma State critics ‘are the same ones that can’t pay their own bills’

“Unfortunately in life, most people are weak, and as soon as things start to not go as good as what they thought, they fall apart and they panic,” Gundy said. “And then they want to point the finger and blame other people. You see it in everyday life. People do it all the time.

“That’s why I refuse to watch the TV and watch the news because I get tired of people complaining and b—-ing about this and that versus just doing something about it and trying to figure out a way to make it better.”

“In most cases, the people that are negative and voicing their opinion are the same ones that can’t pay their own bills. They’re not taking care of themselves. They’re not taking care of their own family. They’re not taking care of their own job,” he said. “But they have an obligation to speak out and complain about others because it makes them feel better.

“But then, in the end, when they go to bed at night, they’re the same failure that they were before they said anything negative about anybody else.”

He is the highest paid coach in the conference at $7.75M per year.

Get a job or go pro. There is seriously no reason for this. He should have three degrees minimum at this point.

Good for Dillingham getting paid and planning to be at ASU a very long time. He'll be the Don James of ASU, but I'm sure will surpass his record. Interesting note in the piece is: "None of ASU's starters with remaining eligibility have entered the transfer portal in a position development that could make the team one of the favorites in the Big 12 next season, assuming nothing changes in that respect." ASU, Dillingham agree to contract extension in sign of continuing program momentum

I wouldn't leave ASU and Tempe, either.

There's a lot of good reasons to stay.

I think that's a good development for their program, and hopefully it holds. But when that was written, ASU was still alive in the playoffs. How many starters on any of the still-alive playoff teams have entered the portal? Not many guys on CFP teams entered while their team was still viable and the ones I can think of were all backups.

Good for ASU for their season and making the playoff and all, but has there ever been a less-likable Cinderella team than Skattabo, Dillingham and ASU? Honestly, they gave Curt Cignetti and Indiana a run for that title.

To be fair, the punishment Skattabo took from that defense was a testament to his determination. Truly, one of the best 'warrior' performances i've seen so far in the playoffs.

Not a fan of anyone except the Irish so I have no rooting interest except whatever benefits ND.

This would drive me up a wall if this was ND. He’s part of the reason they have ascended but also hamstrung by his injury issues now

I was very surprised reading the first paragraph, but the second explains it. I didn't really think Matt Campbell was a candidate for the Jimbo/Lincoln Riley/BK deal but surely $5MM is pretty low among P4 head coaches. Good on him for looking out for his staff
