The NIL stuff is interesting. He claims he talks up the school and program to reel recruits in then goes to NIL last. Not sure I believe that.

I don't get the impression many people want Art Briles around. Regardless of who is grandchildren are.

This becomes a distraction now more than anything. Lebby has already apologized for it. Considering a lot of people believe Kendall Briles and Jeff Lebby knew enough about the same things Art Briles did at Baylor, Lebby really risks pressing his luck having his father in law around at all let alone on the field after the game.

Right. It appears that the air has been cleared and they've told him keep him away from now on. Should not be any additional misunderstandings.

I actually think he answered the question well at the time on Saturday, but FFS, you've got to know better. Briles is still toxic even after all these years and he's the one guy that for whatever reason isn't getting a second chance. Father in law or not, you've got to leave it and step out of your own bubble for a minute.

Yes it is. Here in Oklahoma, it doesn't even seem real that OU is in the SEC. Utah plays @ OK St Sept. 21 which should be a good one. Oklahoma St returns a ton of starters and is preseason 12 in the new Lindy's preview I recently picked up. Seeing Arizona and ASU in the BIg 12 is the oddest thing to me in the conference. Just seem like classic west coast schools. Is it late August yet?

Big 12 really is more like a G5 now with the departure of Texas and Oklahoma. Even after absorbing much of the PAC-12, the new Big 12's last national championship team was a 1990 Colorado squad that got away with a phantom block in the back on the Rocket's kick return. After that, the only Big 12 team I think that has a national championship since WWII is the '84 BYU squad.

As slow as Leonard has been out of the gate, remember when there was some talk Rising could enter the Portal and some people wanted him? Probable bullet dodged there. He looked absolutely awful the other night too, his passes had 0 zip and not much accuracy. I couldn't believe they didn't bench him. 16/37, 209 yards, 0 TDs, 3 INTs.
