How do you feel about voting for candidates who support abortion?

Wanted to continue this.

I follow Christ directly. We attend a lot of Catholic liturgies, but it is CHRIST and the 89 chapters that count. No OT, No Saul of Tarsus, No Revelation of John the Divine

And here is where JFK and the 46th failed Christ's edict.

They put their hand on the bible.

That is just political pandering claptrap. They should have just said "Yeah, Yeah" or "Nay Nay"

Who said so?

Some guy in a sermon on the mount:

Matt, Chapter 5

.But I tell you, do not swear an oath at all: either by heaven, for it is God’s throne; [SUP]35 [/SUP]or by the earth, for it is his footstool; or by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the Great King. [SUP]36 [/SUP]And do not swear by your head, for you cannot make even one hair white or black. [SUP]37 [/SUP]All you need to say is simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No’; anything beyond this comes from the evil one.[SUP][g]

So I'll finally know we have a real follower of Christ when they shove the Bible away and say "Yes" or no.

Sorry JFK and 46th, you flunked. And if the people don't like it, bleep 'em, tell em to follow Christ, not pathetic, maudlin political ritual..

Now I don't "vote Catholic"

I believe in total separation of Church and State, and I believe that Christ did also.

I think the currency is blasphemous, and that there should be no deductions for any Christian charitable contributions.

And if you're going to be anti-abortion, then you must be anti Capital punishment and antiwar.

And, trust me, there are Christians and Catholics who go there and some who would never vote for a supporter of abortion or the phony shibboleth of a "woman's right to choose."
The woman has a right to choose up until conception and then there are two votes to be counted.

Sorry, I'm just counting noses here, even fetal ones.

.And I'm gladthe Pope, way earlier told Bobby Drinan to take a hike from the Congrress.

Christ was around 2000 years ago and will be around forever.

Countries, flags, anthems come and go.

You cannot serve God and mammon
.

You just can't have two FIRST priorities.

By the way, I just speak for myself. there are plenty of GOOD people of conscience who could NEVER vote for an abortion supporter.
I simply respect them and choose otherwise.

Seems like a few things have trickled out to the news cycle on Friday afternoon after Biden took off for another vacation. #AmericaIsBack #DiplomacyIsBack

I guess when he touted he had a lot of foreign policy experience, he forgot to tell us it was bad experience.

Looking forward to how Paski spins this.

(CNN)A politically weakened President Joe Biden, hoping to spark a turnaround with a renewed focus on his domestic agenda after a month marred by a spike in Covid-19 cases and a messy withdrawal from Afghanistan, found on Friday the pivot could be easier said than done.

A string of events over the course of an hour laid bare the challenges ahead.
The Pentagon announced the drone strike in Kabul that Biden once touted as killing ISIS-K terrorists had actually killed 10 civilians; a Food and Drug Administration panel rejected an application to provide vaccine boosters to people over 16, though it endorsed the shots for people 65 and older and those at high risk of severe Covid; and the French government recalled its ambassador in Washington for consultation amid a transatlantic spat over submarines.

I find it laughable that people get into this

US/Them

left/right

Pinko/Fascist

Republican/Democrat

infantile badinage

I did some research on Ike's Senates. By the way, this stuff is BURIED in PLAIN SIGHT on the internet.

Over 40% of his Senators were veterans, and a large percentage of those had served in WWII or Korea.

This ignorant strain of emotionally dwarved (I'll return to that in a minute) loyalty to any party is laughable.

But it comes from cablenewsismfacebookism (if that wasn't a word before, well I just coined it) and this childish Bama Auburn rivarlry of

MY PARTY IS ALL CORRECT AND YOUR PARTY IS ALL WRONG.

It's stupid what these emotional midgets do.

You people don't have enough fun.

Change your party registration. OFTEN. It is great fun and when you have a new party send them $20 then you get all sorts of

propaganda
chickenl;ittleism

the "MirepoiX" of politics

Anger
Hate
Fear

The most hilarious was joining the party of Cliven Bundy. that was a hoot.

Redneck Mormons yapping like baboons at the zoo.

Oh, and there are a lot of badass wannabe ":studio gangsters" on here.

Autumn starts tomorrow

Leaves turn

apples ripen

And on Saturday, Notre Dame will expose the Wisconsin Badger hoax.

So it is America, get pissed off , get angry, get butt heart, get aggrieved.

Just don't come to me. I am not the apostle to the butthurt.

But have a nice day.

This isn't getting much attention, but Joe's deporting a lot of the Hatians that showed up at that bridge. Now if orange man was in office........

Sept. 20, 2021, 8:44 AM EDT / Updated Sept. 20, 2021, 2:07 PM EDT
By Julia Ainsley
WASHINGTON — The Biden administration will prioritize all single adult Haitians and some Haitian families for deportation, after more than 15,000 mostly Haitian migrants converged on a border bridge in Del Rio, Texas, say two senior Department of Homeland Security officials.

Unaccompanied children and some families will be allowed to stay in the U.S. and given dates for asylum hearings, the senior Homeland Security officials said. Thousands of others will be deported to Haiti, including families who do not claim asylum and all single adults.

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas traveled to Del Rio on Monday, speaking to media near the bridge, where thousands of Haitians remain. The Border Patrol moved 3,300 migrants out from under the bridge on Sunday, and Mayorkas said thousands more had been moved on Monday. Mayorkas said there were now 600 federal agents, officers and personnel detailed to handle the migrants in Del Rio.

Mayorkas blamed the sudden influx on misinformation about the Biden administration’s policy of Temporary Protective Status that allowed Haitians already in the U.S. prior to July 29 to stay for a temporary but undefined period of time. He said many falsely believed if they arrived now, they would also be allowed to stay.

Mayorkas said DHS is “very concerned” that Haitians “are receiving false information that the border is open or Temporary Protective Status is available,” Mayorkas said.

"I want to make sure that it is known that this is not the way to come to the United States," he said. "That is false information."

Many of the newly arrived migrants have not seen Haiti since they fled to Latin American countries after the 2010 earthquake or other natural or political crises.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement will begin flying six to eight deportation flights per day starting Tuesday, the officials said. There were three deportation flights Sunday. Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas will visit Del Rio on Monday for a briefing and meet with state and local officials.

Joe Biden has not taken or answered a single question regarding the border, FDA boosters getting shot down and the drone strike that killed 7 kids. His aides shout down reporters and herds them out of rooms, and the press complies with them.

Lol Yamiche Altidore (lib hack) says Biden Admin looking to EXPAND Gitmo to detain Haitians. This would be an all-time LMAOO.

In other news, McConnell has the dems by the balls again. They are risking Biden's presidency by the looks of things.

Dem POTUS, Dem Senate, Dem House. They can raise the debt ceiling on their own...if they can get their people on board.

Its almost as if the media is trying to make sure Biden/Kamala become so unlikable that neither can run again.

No, the media is providing cover. Nobody is pressing them on the drone strike kids, Haitians flooding over our border, Taliban detainees pooping on the floor in Camp Atterbury, IN , or the principled norms being restored by our so called forein policy. These people are terrible.

With GOP members bringing articles of impeachment (Remember when people warned that cheapening impeachment could turn it into a regular occurence?) you have to wonder if Democrats may actually scapegoat Biden to get him out and put Kamala in his seat. Right now his staffers are shouting over reporters when he tries to take questions so they can protect him, and when that's not happening he's dodging their questions. Can't do this for 4 years, his approval rating is already low for someone who just took office 8 months ago. Maybe this was always the plan? I'm not holding my breath and I'm not sure we'd be better off if that happened...but they may see it as an option to get Biden to step down.

So CNN has really been pushing the Trump undermining the government thing for a while now. Articles on how he's going to ruin the U.S. and how the follow up protest in D.C. was going to require troops, barricades, more Capitol police as it was going to be worse than the previous riot. How many showed up, 200-300?

Why do Haitians want to come here? Don't they know that America is a systemically racist country that was found on racism and white supremacy?

I think the Biden administration is doing them all a favor in sending them back to Haiti where they can escape the evils of imperial racism and be happy.

What an unraveling of a great country. We're like 250 years old, and some brave dudes crossed the ocean in boats for a chance at freedom and representation.

We're giving that up because we're told to vote "democrat" and do so even though we don't know why.

I'm all for giving health care to illegal aliens, but with the stipulation that we should most definitely be providing free health care to all Americans first. Since we don't have that currently even with Democrats controlling the legislative and executive branches, I'm going to say no.

Majority now believe that Joe Biden is kind of an idiot: Poll
President Joe Biden’s presidency is not going as smoothly as he probably hoped it would. Only 43% of respondents in a survey conducted between Sept. 13-19 believe the phrase “mentally sharp” describes Biden “well."

This represents an 11-point drop from March , when Pew found 54% of respondents said “mentally sharp” was a fitting descriptor for the president.

On top of the border crisis, cratering approval numbers, infighting among congressional Democrats, incompetent federal health officials bumbling their way through the coronavirus pandemic, and the chaotic, disorderly withdrawal from Afghanistan, there’s also a growing consensus the president is not the sharpest knife in the drawer, according to new Pew Research Center polling data.

A majority of respondents (56%) in Pew’s most recent survey said “mentally sharp” either describes him as “not at all well” or “not too well.”

As if the steep decline in public opinion of the president’s smarts was not embarrassing enough, it turns out Biden’s mental acuity specifically is where Pew found the sharpest drop in all of his polled personal characteristics.

“Positive evaluations of several of Biden’s personal traits and characteristics have shown similar decreases,” Pew reports. “Compared with March, fewer adults say Biden cares about people like them, and fewer describe him as standing up for his beliefs, honest, a good role model and mentally sharp.”

It adds, “Biden receives his least positive assessments for being mentally sharp. Currently, 43% say this describes Biden very or fairly well, an 11-point decline since March.”

Put more simply, the longer the president is in office, the dumber people think he is. And it’s likely not because of any single issue. The White House is the major leagues, as a former vice president, of all people, ought to know. His every move and action is now under scrutiny. He has to think on his feet and respond in real-time to real-life crises. The public can see now how Biden comports himself as the commander in chief. It’s not just a theoretical game anymore. He can’t just promise to do better than the last guy. He is actually expected to deliver and to deliver competently and efficiently.

Joe's got Haiti problems and Psaki doing her thing to blame someone else.

White House and Democrats split over Haiti amid migrant surge
A Biden administration dispute over its handling of Haiti has spilled into the open as officials contend with Haitian nationals migrating to the United States illegally. In a leaked resignation letter to Secretary of State Antony Blinken, former Haiti special envoy Daniel Foote accused the administration of “inhumane, counterproductive” deportations.

Foote, appointed less than two months ago following the assassination of Haiti’s late President Jovenel Moïse in July, said his recommendations were “ignored and dismissed, when not edited to project a narrative different from my own.”

Michael Shifter, president of the Inter-American Dialogue, a Washington-based forum on Western Hemisphere affairs, said Foote’s letter symbolizes the outrage that many feel.

“Whatever the legal justification, it is hard to square sending back Haitian migrants, many who have been outside the country over a decade, with basic standards of decency and a ‘humane’ approach, as the Biden administration has pledged,” Shifter said.

In a statement on Thursday, Michigan Rep. Andy Levin, a Democrat and the co-chair of the House Haiti Caucus, said the administration had failed to address the crisis in Haiti and slammed the deportation policy, echoing Foote’s criticism.

“I have been telling anyone who will listen since January that I believe the administration’s Haiti policy is misguided,” Levin wrote. “I do not think it is unfair for Ambassador Foote to characterize that policy today as ‘inhumane.’”

Senior Biden administration officials pushed back on Foote, impugning his effort in the role.

Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman said Foote advised sending troops to Haiti to secure the country — a request from members of Haiti’s government to help strengthen the country’s critical infrastructure.

The Pentagon and other national security officials reviewed the request at the time, roiling divisions inside the administration.

“Sending the U.S. military into Haiti is not the answer that will solve the terrible situation that the Haitian people are currently facing,” Sherman told the Miami Herald. “It just was a bad idea.”

White House press secretary Jen Psaki and State Department spokesman Ned Price said Foote had failed to voice his concerns over Haitian migrants.

Psaki said the former diplomat had opportunities to raise his concerns “in a range of meetings.”

“Special envoy Foote had ample opportunity to raise concerns about migration," she told reporters on Thursday. "He never once did so."

“He failed to take advantage of ample opportunity to raise concerns about migration during his tenure and chose to resign instead,” said Price, charging in a statement that Foote “mischaracterized the circumstances of his resignation.”

“No ideas are ignored, but not all ideas are good ideas,“ he added.

The deportations have prompted a rebuke from Democrats nationwide. Haiti is still recovering from an earthquake in August that killed some 2,000 people and injured thousands more. The country also faces increased proliferation of armed gangs and political instability following Moise’s violent murder in July.

More than 50 Democratic lawmakers called for “indefinitely halting” deportations to Haiti in a letter to Homeland Security and Health and Human Services departments last week, citing the circumstances.

Seventeen attorneys general led by Karl Racine of Washington, D.C., sent a letter this week to Biden and Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas asking the administration to reconsider its use of the Title 42 public health rule to expel Haitian migrants.

“As a Haitian immigrant, these photos and articles cut deep,” Racine said.

The Biden administration has rejected allegations it is selectively applying immigration law to deport Haitians over other migrants crossing into the U.S. illegally along the southern border.

“We are continuing to expel people coming from a range of countries,” Psaki told reporters on Thursday. “Our border restrictions are being applied not just to Haitians but to people who are coming irregularly to migrate to the country from anywhere ... we are applying immigration laws.”

Responding to criticism over images of Border Patrol agents on horseback chasing down migrants, Psaki said Customs and Border Protection would cease using horses in Del Rio.

Shifter said the situation should prompt an overhaul of the country’s “ad hoc and broken” immigration system.

“Though the politics of the immigration issue are very difficult, Foote’s powerful statement will hopefully add some pressure on the U.S. Congress to finally act,” he said.

Foote’s letter also criticized the administration’s support for Haiti Prime Minister Ariel Henry, who assumed control of the country following a power struggle in the aftermath of Moïse’s death. Henry, who is backed by the international community, recently ordered the firing of the top prosecutor investigating Moïse’s death.

Levin echoed Foote’s concerns.

“For reasons I don’t understand, the U.S. continues to insist on supporting — truthfully, propping up — the de facto government of Ariel Henry, which has neither a constitutional basis nor public support in Haiti or the diaspora," he said.

Shifter praised Foote’s letter, arguing the attention it has brought “could lead to a rethinking of deportations .... as well as a different, more constructive U.S. policy towards Haiti.”

“U.S. disengagement from Haiti is not an option,” Shifter said. “[Washington] can and should be helpful, but the approach needs to be subtle and responsive to Haitian views on the way out of the country’s deep crisis.”

100% of the 43% who think he is mentally sharp are nitwits. No reasonable person watches Biden and thinks, "Yeah, brilliant. Smart dude." There's no way an intelligent, unbiased person listens to Biden and watches him and thinks he's sharp.
