Concerning this portion of your post I appreciate you pointing out the sinful nature of my comments where I "rejoiced over evil" with Biden's failures, and rubbed it with those who voted for him. To this I confess, it was unnecessary, and could have been simply stated as more of a matter of fact, than a "told you so" type comment.

And I confess that there have been numerous posts in this thread, and probably one or two other threads where I did not respond in a Christ-like way. I had a season of letting the woes of this country get the best of me and made poor, sinful choices in response. For those comments I confess, and sincerely ask forgiveness of those involved. As of late I have worked to respond in less unChristlike/attacking manners, and more in dependence on Him for proper wording and attitudes of spirit.

My devotion is to Christ Jesus. And if you do in fact follow Him as your Lord then I consider you a brother in Jesus. If you are not, I hope you consider Him in time, as every Christian should desire for his fellow man.

And while we await the Kingdom come in all its fullness, I do believe the disciple of Jesus is to pray "your Kingdom come, your will be done ON EARTH, as it is in Heaven." We are not to simply sit back and keep our faith a "private" faith.

But we are called to enter all areas of society displaying the goodness of God's ways, the ways of Jesus, the ways of the Kingdom. Working to alleviate as much suffering and pain in this world, due to human sinfulness, as possible, while we await the Kingdom realized in its fulness at the return of Christ. So, adding my own sinful responses does not help, which again I appreciate you pointing out my hypocrisy in doing so.

The same people who cry "close your mouth Christian" when confronting Biden's numerous poor Presidential decisions, are many of the same ones who were crying "Trump is a racist, a homophobe, a dictator!! If you're a true Christian you should denounce him and his godless ways!!"

So which is it BrownerandFry? Are we Christians supposed to "shut up and stay out of politics" or are we too "speak up and denounce poor leaders" as an act of devotion to Jesus and His Kingdom. Both Trump and Biden have made claims to be men of faith in Jesus Christ.

The Apostle Paul who said "For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Is it not those inside the church whom you are to judge?" (I Cor 5:12). By judge he did not mean condemn to hell, but to "make distinctions between ones right and wrong actions." Are we to remain silent on Trump or Biden simply because we are "true followers of Christ"? If this is your stance, then many faithful Christ followers down through ages would disagree.

The aim of the post you highlighted was to point to the hypocrisy in decrying Trump and MANY grossly exaggerated and false claims against him, while also pulling back the curtain on the pass Biden gets for his ACTUAL poor decisions which have led to many unnecessary deaths and countless sufferings. Trump made poor choices as well. But not the degree Biden has made already. Hopefully he corrects course and we see a more life-giving Presidency going forward.

Unfortunately a post like the one you pointed to, even when done in the right attitude/verbiage, ends up directed at BOTH Christians and non-Christians, which I am not so sure is helpful. I'll have to consider this in the future as I attempt to remain faithful in my devotion to Christ by engaging in culture.

They just started a trial to study if the COVID jab has detrimental effects to reproduction. Probably a bad idea to force people to take it until we know the long term effects. I'm all for high risk people taking it to protect their life and taking other measures if necessary like staying home and/or masking and social distancing...but for those that are healthy and under 40 or 50 it should probably be an elective.

My fiance and I are two weeks away from our wedding and plan to have little Leppy's cooking shortly thereafter. That's the primary reason we haven't gotten the jab. It's way too early to have any data on long term effects and fertility.

The fact that people can’t see this as authoritarian is outreageous. I feel like this is all an excuse and political maneuver to try and address his inability to lead on covid and the resulting approval ratings. Just blame and blame.

After Craighead was arrested for possession of prohibited weapons, he told the officer "he was 'on patrol' and began talking about white supremacist ideology and other rhetoric pertaining to white supremacy," according to a USPC statement.

"At this time, it is not clear if he was planning to attend any upcoming demonstrations or if he has ties to any previous cases in the area," that statement says.

Police officials in Washington have expressed increasing concern about a rally planned for this Saturday, September 18 on federal land next to the Capitol. It's a book. I wouldn't hang on him on the streets, yet. I do think questions should be asked and explanations offered as well as a no-shit investigation into the matter. If he did what he is accused of doing, he should be certainly be held accountable. I think this is an area where people need to take a step back and really evaluate the significance of this and handle it in a non-partisan manner.
