Ohh yeah, folks who think 6T in spending is insane are definitely Billy Bob's from Kansas. We already spent 1.9T for COVID relief, of which ~5% was directly related to fighting the pandemic. He wants 2.25T in infrastructure, of which <10% is actually infrastructure. He also wants another 1.8T in liberal wishlist items. That's 5.95 T of money we don't have and we don't get by taxing rich people more on capital gains. Our debt is higher than the annual GDP. You're right! This is moderate and I must be a Billy Bob. It's reckless and quite radical in reality.

If Biden wants to impress me, I'd like to see him take a butcher knife to the budget. Make all of the agencies look long and hard at their spending. All the way down to the department level at local offices. I'm all for the military, but I can't imagine how many billions could be saved if we looked at the infamous $75 hammers and $1,000 toilets. Cut a chunk of foreign aid. We have obligations, but there's plenty of waste that goes into those programs. Etc., etc.

When I was in the Navy, at the end of the FY, we'd spend insane money dumping the budget because if we didn't, we'd have less budget next year. TV's, snap-on tools, you name it. September was a shopping month! The real fat in the military is the civilian workforce tied to it. Tons of them are just retired military who finish their careers in support roles. Many of them are pretty light in responsibilities and duties. I've seen it first hand. They could make some serious cuts there if they had the will.

When I was writing contracts for the Air Force, seemed like 90% of my purchases were year-end purchases. Probably wasn't actually the case but...yeah they spend money like drunken sailors.

Lol September is annoying as hell. I'd get on the phone with the point of contact and tell them "hey guys I get we got a year end thing here but why couldn't you send this over in June?"

So apparently it is possible that 85% of the people watching approved because only a small amount of liberals were watching. That would carry forward to skewed polling because nobody cared outside of the left-lunging crowd. Maybe we're both right? No?

I am seeing around 22m viewers on other outlets. But just googling these are the only ratings I could find. Lowest I could find was Clinton/Obama with 31 million each in 2001, 2015, and 2016.

The Cheney thing is a whole lot of nothing, but the lib media needs someone to attack and to pretend there are big problems with the R's, Cheney has made the mistake of not shutting down the talk over the election and her vote. She has entertained the media and fallen into the trap. You can't lead a caucus when you are getting cut at the knees by the press. Instead of entertaining them on Trump, you say that you are going to do everything you can to oppose the Biden agenda of insane deficit spending, open borders, election fraud, DC statehood, court-packing, and more. It's not that hard. Mitch figured this out.

She keeps talking when any sensible person would stop and move forward. And she'll never get a presidential nomination. She had her impeachment vote, that gives her the support if anti-Trump types. By constantly jabbering now about the party, she's just going to make people dislike her.

The current GOP message should be hyping up enthusiasm for 2022. She's getting in the way of that. Idk if the house GOP is gonna remove her or not. But she's kinda asking for it. Hype up the Texas results, not how much you don't like your peers who voted for you to be in the position you are in.

We've also seen a big uptick in people being converted from part time to full time. Most economists looking at this think that UI is part of this, but not the biggest part.

Biden Monday denied reports that Americans are choosing to not return to work and choosing to stay at home and collect unemployment benefits.

“We’re going to make it clear that anyone collecting unemployment who is offered a suitable job must take the job or lose their unemployment benefits,” Biden said.

Biden’s announcement comes as COVID-19 cases decline and states and localities ease restrictions with businesses adding jobs for four straight months, according to the Labor Department. Still, the unemployment rate ticked up to 6.1% from 6% in March.
