Yeeesh, you guys really dodged a bullet not electing Hunter Biden. Would have been something to have a president who bangs porn stars, and abuses drugs. Ah, misusing secret service agents, that's also a big no-no! I wonder if Hunter would have made them piss in a bush? Guess we'll never know.

Any logical and reasonable person would assume Hunters Dad (President of the United States) had something to do with his drug addicted son's business dealings and positions obtained. I'll put cocaine addict and homemade sex video expert on my resume any day if it got me the same access Hunter had. Any logical person would assume any Dad, who allegedly talks to his son on a reguar basis, would talk to their son about getting a new job paying millions of dollars. When my Dad calls me one of the first things he asks is how work is. But according to the Bidens, work never comes up. What do they talk about? Cocaine? Sex? Biden called it Russian disinformation during the campaign.... Hunter admits now it "could" be his Laptop. Classic deny/deflect/ignorance.

The three stooges from the last admin were hammered continually for their unethical bs and/or for just being annoying af. This Hunter Biden sh*t is just oppositional politics. You did it to us, so now we do it to you. When it comes to morals, politicians from both parties act like Jesus has them on speed-dial, and it becomes easy war-tactics to sling mud about sins that are as old as time: greed and lust. The more sensational the better. Old ladies sipping on tea feeling important about Suzy’s fall from grace.

It's a thing of beauty. So many "results guys" have become "feelings guys".

The big headline from this story was that they authenticated and confirmed it was indeed his laptop. The significance obviously being that big tech/social media/news erroneously censored the story for partisan gain, the intel leaders proved to be full of it, the secret service protection Hunter received should be investigated in parallel with the gun crime, and the business connections that enriched the Biden family that appear in the emails should also be further investigated.

I get it. But there is a substantial difference between Trump and Biden when it comes to family.

Donald was elected, for better or worse, with America knowing every detail of his life for the past 30+ years. His family had money. He had money. He was an international celebrity. Barack Obama apparently wrote a paper about him being the endgame of American success.

Donald benefited from that...and had to deal with the negative parts of that as well. But at the end of the day, that's the cost of doing business right?

Joe Biden has a 50+ year old child that is an objectively....GOP or DNC....disgusting human being. For all the shit the Trump kids get...and the silly (possibly true) rumors we heard about Baron Trump, Hunter is basically proven to be everything bad anyone has ever said about anyone in the Trump family.

Biden is a broken human being. Dude wouldn't know what a gun is if it shot him at this point. Its sad.

Not sure what consequences Donald, has ever faced? It's neither here nor there I guess, as the system benefits rich guys. So barring anything Georgia/DC/SDNY can find he's scot free of anything.

Oh 100%, Hunter Biden should be excommunicated. Just trash.

However, you can't tell me with a straight face that it isn't snowing constantly on 5th avenue for Jr. The Barron stuff is weird, the kid is 15 years old. At least for the Don's sake there aren't pictures of Jr with a crack pipe hanging out of his mouth

I dont know what The Don has ever dealt with. But he's facing shit...literally...because he ran for President...beat Hillary...and was an asshole.

He lived in Manhattan/Queens his whole life. the AG of NY (not SDNY) did not give a shit until he beat that dumb broad who couldn't pass the Bar Exam.

It would be very easy to convince me he broke laws,, particularly tax stuff. Dude is literally facing legal consequences for one reason, and one reason alone.

There is exactly zero people who can look you in the eye and tell you honestly Donald Trump is in legal trouble for any reason outside of him becoming president.

We'll see what ends up happening with all of this nonsense. But Donald is facing trouble because he ran for/ became POTUS and nobody other than Jesus Christ could convince me otherwise.

People forget Trump was very well liked before his feud with Obama. Even with the feud with Obama, even with Trump U, even with his many known affairs, even with his reputation as a business man he was loved by many. He becomes President and all of a sudden he’s Hitler reincarnated and everyone hates him and is a Russian operative.

Democrats cry about Republicans following Trump no matter what... when most of them once followed Trump no matter what... until he became inconvenient to their politics.

There’s a chunk that is die hard to Trump, but there’s also a big chunk that was angry at Trump for how he handled some things and are more than ready to move on. I for one, am beyond ready to move on and cringe a little when I see the Trump 24’ stuff. I do think it’s hard to discuss him fairly because he was hounded so hard by the press and fake allegations while his team had some real accomplishments.

Hardly any comparable for his legal issues right now, you have the Jean Carroll stuff which doesn't look good for him, the tax issues, and then any insurrection fallout. Tough to convince me that the decision to run for public office caused any of this (except his role in the Big Lie/Insurrection as that wouldn't have happened if he wasn't the president who lead it). He was a public figure, you don't get to do shady dealings and then expect to get off scot free. Look ol'Joe's tax returns, the man has never hired a good accountant, wonder if that mess is on purpose or he's too cheap to hire a good one.

Lot's of people with a similar risk profile to the Donald have faced consequences for their actions - regarding Don's 25+ accusations we saw Epstein/Weinstein for example, we also see rich dudes get caught for the tax stuff all the time, and the insurrection who knows?

1. That lady watched an episode of SVU and copied the story. She also said "rape is sexy", among other bizarre statements, and all but propositioned Anderson Cooper live on television.

2. I'm not sure what Epstein or Weinstein have to do with tax problems. There is a large difference between being #MeToo'd having a state... where you've lived in the public eye for nearly your entire life... going after you, conveniently around the time you broke the city by beating their Queen in an election.

New York State isn't some bastion of justice and defending women. Look at their last 3 AG's lol. Quite the track record there.

3. Ahhh yes, the "insurrection." Wild how 3 months later and the only official homicide for this event was an unarmed Trump superman. Honestly, what those folks did was bad, even disgusting, but calling that an "insurrection" is offensive to those who actually have carried one out. I'm supposed to believe this was a violent takeover of the United States government when 3 months later, D.C. still doesn't even know what killed the cop?

Calling it the Big Lie is about 10x more appropriate than calling that an insurrection. But that has nothing to do with his legal problems either.

TLDR - one of the most famous men in the world faces legal problems in his home state AFTER he runs for President for the opposition party.

Again, Only Jesus could convince me it wasn't a political decision.

1. If it was nothingburger I'm sure Donny will let the DNA evidence into trial, no? Wouldn't that clear him if it wasn't his on her dress.

2. They have nothing to do with tax issues, that was in reference to Donald have 25+ sexual assault allegations, and numerous numerous former models saying he would go into the change rooms while they were changing (some as young as 14). You and I both know this isn't the first time the opposing party went after someone from the opposite party, of course he hasn't been charged with anything so this could all be for nothing.

3. lol we're going to have to agree to disagree here

This line of thinking "Oops AG is from the opposing party, can't prosecute!" doesn't jive with me.

He has lawyers to figure all that out. I'm sure there is some strategy and other stuff that goes into it. I've seen the lady on TV. She's a loon lmao.

As for the other ladies, I don't know much about any of them. I'm focused exclusively on New York's nonsense

Its not that you can't prosecute someone from the other party. Nobody is above the law, etc. But this is a goofy deal.

We got a famous man whose fame for most of his life was related to his lifestyle. Mac Miller's Donald Trump song pretty well encapsulates the Don's place in American culture. Don lives in Deep Blue America. Don hangs out with liberal politicians. He runs for President as the complete antithesis to everything these politicians represent. Donald is no longer in their good graces. Donald then has New York State come after him.

That smells bad. I'd love to ask the NY folks, what changed? Why didn't they go after him years ago? Were they unaware of his behavior until he ran for POTUS?

Can we talk about how dumb Matt Gaetz is? Paying for hookers on Venmo with setting set to public? Reminds me of a scene from The Wire where Stringer Bell catches his flunkies taking minutes on a meeting of the city's drug dealers and goes off on them...

Probably should hold off until something of Biden needs to be defended since this is a Biden thread. Maybe start a Gaetz thread.

A lot of "But Trumps" in this thread...

Yes, we know.

A lot of repeated posts of “a lot of “But Trumps”” in this thread.

Politics is comparative. In discussing the current president, the last one is used as a recent reference point for praise and/or criticism.

As you know, presidents are elected using this tactic as well. They are also praised and/or criticized (and rightfully so) throughout their term(s) based on whether or not they live up to their statements of how they will do better than the last administration.

So yes, it is a significant comparative point, especially for understanding bias in terms of how praise and criticism is expressed through party leanings and platforms.

On the Gaetz thing, the only way he likely avoids jail time is flipping on people like his buddy presumably did to him. Matt Gaetz has a hell of a rolodex. That has a lot of implications for Biden (easier to get stuff done if the Freedom Caucus/fox/mar a lago world are fielding lawsuits).

It's ironic the pearl clutching over "wahhhh but Trump", even though anyone who looked at the Trump thread will see it's full of "but Obama! Clinton!".

YES THANK YOU.

The GOP btw is better off if some of Gaetz's ilk in congress/Florida go away. They don't help win elections and they're not interested in governing.

I’m still not sure where the controversy is with Gaetz. Every GOP type is in agreement he should be held accountable. Progressives have been screaming and deflecting to defend Hunter for 2 years, horrified the public might noticing how the Biden family used Joe's position to get filthy rich. If Gaetz broke the law, get him. Dems can't say the same about the Bidens.

Hows Cuomo’s impeachment and CNN coverage coming?

Cuomo has been neutered and the accusations need to be verified for impeachment to happen. The issue the elected dems have is he still has a political base, similar to the Trump impeachments.

Hunter Biden is not a public official.

Gaetz is a politics as entertainment not governing dude. He's a cancer to politics in general and the Republican party in general. He seems to have actually taken part in sex trafficking. That's not propositioning your intern. That's a federal crime. Hell, Barr started the investigation.

Cuomo is still in office.

Hunter Biden has committed a firearm crime in cooperation or at least coordination with the secret service, which apparently was questionably providing security on taxpayer dime and he has clearly made a large sum of money off his relationship with his father and the laptop provided sufficient evidence that his father may have financially benefitted as well. You know, the big

Famous peoples' kids make money because of who their parents are. Donald launched an empire due to who his dad was. The Trump kids are rich in large part because of who their dad is, nothing to say about the money they got. That's not illegal, and it's not really something you can help.

Joe Biden was actually remarkably cash poor prior to the end of his vice presidency (Obama offered a loan when Beau got sick because Biden was going to mortgage his house). It doesn't make sense to me that a career grifter would be that average financially. If Joe were implicated in Bidengate Barr would have brought the hammer on him. He didn't, so I'm pretty skeptical of fox/oan/ny post etc.

When the GOP stops running on Dr. Seuss, own the libs, etc. And actually has an idea... we'll all be better off. We need a healthy right and left. The right is sick and needs to get it together. Gaetz, Trump, etc. Going away would be good for this. Signed a pissed off romney/biden voter.
