So is Rupar an extremist, yes or no.

I wouldn't call him an extremist. I usually save that for terror groups and some politicians, and I guess some political parties (Nazis, Commies, etc.).

But he's a trash journalist. He rightly gets ridiculed and should be shamed out of the profession.

He's not a journalist. He's a political activist who masquerades as a journalist on twitter, and he does a pretty shit job at doing so. He's as grotesquely biased and closed minded as the personalities on Fox News that he and his poor excuse for a news publication rag spend every waking moment salivating over.

That's the point. He's not an extremist and it's totally wrong for Drayer to call him one.

....would that not be Cancel Culture TM? Like I get wanting to shame someone out, but that flies COMPLETELY in the face of Conservative beliefs.

There are several funny things about moving the all-star game.

1. Its based on a lie. Even Glenn Kessler is busting Biden's balls which is shocking. I didn't see which journo it was but one of them even lit up Jen Psaki on it and she was shell-shocked.

2. Biden said 40 states are passing these laws, so that rules out all but around 10 states that Biden would endorse. Of those 10... do we know how many are more restrictive than GA?

3. Manfred is an idiot. He will end up moving the game to some place with less early voting or some restriction and will get roasted for it. And you better believe some journos are already glancing around at state's election laws of states with baseball teams

4. I'm sure the all-star game brings in some revenue for the state through taxes, but the Atlanta metro is the real loser here. You know... the area in GA that delivered Joe Biden the state of GA. I'm sure the guys with bars and restaurants around the stadium are super pleased right now lol.

I think they have to move it to California or New York... If people can't find a reason to complain about voting laws they will find something wrong with the state they move it to... unless its California or NY

Im sure the MLB office is shopping election laws right now and going to realize most of the states are as or more restrictive.

I hope the Georgia Republicans hold their ground and don’t back down to this nonsense. Kemp is going on any platform that invites him to defend his bill.

The MLB went from four Pinocchio’s to a poor decision.

Can someone explain these election laws and why they are so racist and why its such a big story....

Oh no I agree, but what I was saying that Rupar and his ilk only really think that Fox News is the only biased source. Granted, Fox News pretty damn shit, and they were embarrassingly bad for most of the Trump administration. They sort of created this whole problem IMO that our cable news has turned into. The rest of the sources were always left leaning, but when Fox came in to become a right leaning news network they overcorrected I think. It was a wildly successful model, which is why all the other news networks have tried to emulate them.

this is the state of our pathetic news media in our country. How can anybody honestly look at this and say “yep this is an appropriate headline for an unbiased truth telling news outlet”. I think Trump is an absolute jackass that did a lot of damage to this country, but he was certainly correct about how absolutely pathetic and useless our mainstream journalists are.

The Georgia thing is unbelievable. With "Steal the Vote", you at least had the pretense of normal people not knowing. I couldn't validate, on my own, if there were any illegal activities that took place, but had to take the word of those who run such events. A rational person would say, "Ok, then prove it". And no one could. With this, holy shit, I can read. I can read Georgia's new law. I can read New York's (which is more restrictive, no water, less early voting, absentee only with excuse, etc). I can see what's in it, and they push the narrative.

There are some things in it that are kind of wait and see if it works, but on the whole, it should expand voting, and reduce wait times.

Say what you want about Trump. His bullshit got called out on the daily. But this is scary. Those responsible for holding the government responsible are the ones driving the narrative. I had about an hour conversation with multiple of my Democrat friends who fact checked me in real-time on their phone last night, and they were amazed at what they thought vs what was reality.

This is Biden's big lie that snowballed into something it's completely not and it's hard to the press/promoters to back track at this point and the liberals want to destroy voter ID and diminish election integrity, can't imagine why...

You can't fly Delta without an ID, You can't buy a gun without an ID. 1 vote for 1 ID makes sense. When you look at the treasonous ideas promoted in HR1, it becomes clear that these people want Venezuelan elections.

Biden Administration considers building more border wall to finish projects, fill in ‘gaps’
POSTED ON APRIL 6, 2021
BIDEN-WALL-PIC.jpg

The Department of Homeland Security is considering reversing course and building more sections of the southern border wall.

According to a source close to the situation, DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas told employees that he may start building the Southern Border wall again in order to fill in some of the ‘gaps.’

President Joe Biden stopped the construction of the U.S. Mexico border wall almost immediately after taking office but that move, in addition to his ‘open border’ free healthcare campaign promises has resulted in an overwhelming crisis at the border.

According to Mayorkas there is some wiggle room in the president’s order which will allow for gaps in the wall to be finished.

In addition, Mayorkas said that the border patrol chief and the acting commissioner of the CBP have presented him with different projects that need to be finished with the border wall.

Preliminary numbers show that more than 171,000 illegal migrants were apprehended last month, including nearly 20,000 unaccompanied minors.

Obviously its not great to see the mess at the border. Feel bad for the kids. But it is very very very fun to see Dems twist and turn.

"These are literally concentration camps."
"Build bridges, not walls!"
"the cruelty is the point!"

Now it's a rather different tune eh

I had about an hour conversation with multiple of my Democrat friends who fact checked me in real-time on their phone last night, and they were amazed at what they thought vs what was reality.

The primary problem with the Georgia law that it empowers a partisan legislative body with the ability to pull crazy stunts on election day (or if they don't like the results of the election). This isn't a "big lie" or "misinformation." The law has language that removes the secretary of state as chair of the State Election Board, allowing the SEB and lawmakers a process to temporarily take over elections offices and limiting the number, location and access to secure absentee drop boxes. You cannot put a massive, unchecked loophole in your election law that enables partisan actors to go rogue and expect people to be OK with that. Especially not after how Raffensberger and Kemp were mercilessly attacked for simply following the law and refusing to throw the election for Trump.

The secondary objections are mostly over the criminalization of "line warming", the added burdens on absentee voting, and the restrictions on voting hours. Most of this is transparently a tactic to make it even more odious for black people and other urban dwellers to vote. They made it so that there are less early voting hours after work and on weekends, and made it harder to keep polls open late. They coupled this with making it harder to get a ballot that you can fill out at your leisure. The law gives people less time to request a ballot, adds more ways for someone to have their ballot thrown out, and gives people fewer drop boxes for their ballot.

Basically every right wing talking point about how Georgia's law is fine focuses on Voter ID or contrasting it to laws in other states. They tried to play the game where they said "Colorado is more restrictive!" when in reality it's a 100% vote by mail state where elections run secure and smooth. They tried to say "look at New York!" without realizing that many Democrat pundits have long criticized all kinds of stuff about New York's terrible election processes.

I'm uncomfortable with how corporations are throwing their weight around, and I think there should be 100% universal voter ID requirements. But like....... can we all stop bullshitting for a second? You don't add the State Election Board provisions that they did unless you're trying to put yourself in a position where the next time Trump or an equivalent asks you to "find eleven thousand votes" you have the power to go do that.

Anyways, anyone who wants to read the actual language of the law and not what is filtered by either side you can do so here: https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/...oting-law.html with a breakdown of specific provisions and which pages you can find them on here: https://www.nytimes.com/2021/04/02/u...annotated.html

No, it’s business as usual. Democrats and Republicans are both inept parties that use their constituents for ill purposes more often than not.

That's true and I think most everyone that posts in here feels the same way. Dakota's point is all of the outrage that came from the Dems on these specific things while Trump was in office and now it's crickets for the same actions.

I'm getting pretty concerned about Biden and what he's trying to do to our paychecks. The second bump in relief payments and all of the extras in that bill need to be paid for. Now he has this massive infrastructure proposal that is going to be one of the largest spending sprees ever if it gets passed. He's already lowered who's going to get taxed and you can be sure it will get lowered again.

This administration is making a run for the worst in our country's history and the data will be there to show it more than ever before.

If anyone on the right has the right skills to highlight these failures, they'll destroy them in 2024. But I don't trust the right to get it right.

I jumped on CNN.com. Hadn't checked it out in a few weeks. No mention of immigration or Biden's infrastructure plan on the first page, but there's an article defending Jill Biden's attire. lol

There's loads of it that should be being tracked. Border immigration, border incidents, crime related to border immigrants, national debt (25% of debt since 1776 occurred in last 12 months...), crime (up big in Democratic cities but news won't touch it), etc. It's all over but republicans to have a chance need to outline it, track it, and show how terrible the left's moves are.

Right is so bad at this.

On the flip side, how awesome Rep run states are doing in spite of covid for both unemployment, covid numbers, and overall well being of their citizens (which has to be way better than NY, CA, Oregon, etc., but you have to find a good way to measure).

Democratic policies are terrible in modern USA, but until the Right gets better at pointing that out, they will get bulldozed by smears, misleads, and lies.

It is amusing that both sides of the political aisle are convinced their side has it right but is also supremely confident their guys will find a way to screw it up lol.

I'll never forgive the American public for giving Barack a second term.... Romney was created in a lab to be the President.

Not only did we get Joe Biden dismissing our fundamental liberties and slashing them with a pen like a dictator today in a lie-filled ceremony, but we also learned today that the Hunter laptop is now 100% certainly his. This means the hack intelligence leaders who dismissed it as Russian Disinformation are all partisan liars and should never be cited again. It means that the questions over Biden’s role in Hunter’s operations should absolutely be investigated. It also means the power triangle of big tech- left-wing media- and social media that blocked relevant information before the election should be held accountable.

All relevant and entertaining:

EXCLUSIVE: What WASN'T in Hunter Biden's book: How he got unauthorized Secret Service protection, begged Joe to run for WH to salvage his own reputation and made porn films with prostitutes. Forensic experts prove laptop IS President's son's
  • Hunter Biden released his 'tell-all' memoir Beautiful Things on Tuesday, but left out shocking details
  • DailyMail.com can reveal those secrets after contents of his abandoned laptop - including a cache of 103,000 text messages, 154,000 emails, more than 2,000 photos - were verified by top forensics experts
  • Hunter left his MacBook Pro laptop at a Wilmington, Delaware computer repair shop in April 2019 and never returned for it
  • In texts from 2019, Hunter begged his father to run for president to salvage Hunter's own reputation
  • Hunter repeatedly dodged police action against him, despite constantly dealing with drug dealers and prostitutes and having multiple run-ins with the law
  • The president's son was guarded by a Secret Service agent while on a 2018 drug and prostitute binge in Hollywood, despite not being entitled to protection at the time
  • Hunter appeared to be obsessed with making porn films with prostitutes, videos and photos on his laptop show
  • Texts also show Joe Biden was afraid his conversations with Hunter were being hacked even as they discussed his White House bid

Yeeesh, you guys really dodged a bullet not electing Hunter Biden. Would have been something to have a president who bangs porn stars, and abuses drugs. Ah, misusing secret service agents, that's also a big no-no! I wonder if Hunter would have made them piss in a bush? Guess we'll never know.

The three stooges from the last admin were hammered continually for their unethical bs and/or for just being annoying af. This Hunter Biden sh*t is just oppositional politics. You did it to us, so now we do it to you. When it comes to morals, politicians from both parties act like Jesus has them on speed-dial, and it becomes easy war-tactics to sling mud about sins that are as old as time: greed and lust. The more sensational the better. Old ladies sipping on tea feeling important about Suzy’s fall from grace.
