I only watched a handful of BB episodes. Will I be completely lost watching this?

No they want this show to stand on its own...there will probably be a few minor things or characters from BB you wont pick up on but this one doesnt require seein BB

No. I can't imagine Vince taking that route. BB is a great watch tho and will enhance the experience with BCS

Am I supposed to like Walt? I get he's supposed to be like an anti-hero or whatever but he's just a baby back bitch.

No, hence the name... "Breaking Bad"

Tuco Salamanca

I could be wrong but I think Krazy-8 may have been there with Tuco in the desert. Imdb has him casting in the season for one episode. Or we just haven't seen him yet.

I also noticed a few other people listed in the cast that are sort of interesting, but I'll leave that up to you guys to take a look at that if you'd like to know.

I think you can empathize with him at certain points, and even like him at others, but overall I think the series is more of a study into how people get pulled into the greed and power of this lifestyle.

I really enjoyed the first couple of episodes. I was into Breaking Bad from the first episode (mostly because I loved Cranston in Malcolm in the Middle). I was thinking that it would be tough to make it as tense of a show since you kinda already know what happens to the characters but the desert scene last night was great. Obviously nothing was going to happen to Sal but having the brothers out there made the scene pretty dramatic. Should be a fun show.

Tuco had to be my one of my favorite characters. Whatever the actors name is he plays him really well, complete maniac

Watching all of Breaking Bad greatly enhances the Better Call Saul viewing experience. If you haven't watched all of Breaking Bad, get on Netflix and unfuck yourself.

SPOILER: Take the scene where Tuco tells his home boy to stop interrupting/interjecting. Without watching Breaking Bad, it's a totally benign few moments; for the rest of us it's gold.

Season 1 of BB wasn't great, imo. However, it became one of my all-time favorite tv shows because of the great writing and acting. So far, BCS, hasn't impressed me. It's reminding me of Season 1 of BB. Slow, but steady. If given a chance, it has Koyack potential. Especially because Saul was such an integral part of Walt and Jesse's plan and they've already included some main characters from BB.

For the record, I just recently started watching Walking Dead. I'm hooked. But in no way would I argue it's better than BB or House of Cards (my two favorite shows).

Watching Both or watching BCS before BB is dumb, IMO.

Also, BB does start out slow, but it's constantly Going up as an incline. It's not one of those series where season 1 was good, season 2 and 3 were bad, season 4 was good, and the finale Disappointed... BB goes up the whole way.

Breaking Bad, Walking Dead, Call Saul... they all feel cable to me. They feel less. I LOVE Gillian's long, drawn out style. The X Files was my favorite TV show of all time. But still, I just can't escape the "straight to DVD" feel of those shows.

House of Cards and the Soprano's feel big screen. Like every episode is a one hour feature film.

Looking forward to binge-viewing The Wire on a future vacation. Looks good.

Are you caught up? I only made it to the end of Season 3 before calling it quits with that show. First season was amazing. I gave them a pass for the 2nd season, but the 3rd season was the final straw.

Weird, wasn't the 3rd season the one with the governor? That was my favorite season. 1 was really good too.

I thought they just dragged that storyline out forever (Andrea was especially annoying the whole season), then the season ended and pretty much nothing was resolved. The Governor was still on the loose, and you knew he and Rick were going to have to meet up at some point. I just felt like I wasted an entire season's worth of time when the finale ended.

Also, the fact that the Governor had an eye patch really just annoyed me for some reason. Felt like it was just a stupid attempt to make him seem like more of a "bad guy."

I think everything about the show has been tremendous so far, except it hasn't really gotten moving in the Breaking Bad kind of way. But that makes sense. They are setting everything up and providing a lot of the background for the series. To this point Saul has exceeded my expectations - I was definitely worried this show was going to be a mistake, but it looks like it has the chance to be excellent.

I kinda like how it's not trying to match Breaking Bad's intensity right off the bat.

The thought of Better Call Saul running five or so seasons and going from before to after Breaking Bad is unreal. It has the potential to make the Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul universe and story lines the best thing ever done on television. Because Walter and Saul are so secretive and both shows use a ton of time jumping, they'll be able to weave the worlds together to whatever degree Gilligan wants. I'm pumped.

I really really hope the show goes into Saul's life during and (more especially) after Breaking Bad. The fact that the show started by showing Saul after BB makes me hopeful this is a very common occurrence.

I also really hope they explain what Saul is babbling about when Walt and Jessie take him into the desert in his first BB episode.

No-Doze: Beaten to death for "disrespecting" their new partners, Walter and Jesse.
