Best shows on Netflix?

Half way through the 2nd season of Daredevil. Really enjoyed it so far.

Apparently the show just got cancelled. Very depressing.

Yea, I read some speculation that Netlfix wanted to trim down it's marvel content in front of Disney's release of their own streaming service. And that Disney will probably pick up some of the shows that get cancelled, Daredevil being one since it was so popular.

Haunting of Hill House is really good. I'm through four episodes. I made the mistake of starting this with my girlfriend who is borderline narcoleptic so we watch at most 1 episode a night.

This is so accurate. You can use it to your advantage though. Any time I want to head in the other room to work on something or play some league I put Jeopardy on and she's out in seconds lol.

Case in point. You will start seeing a lot of simple shows dropping off the most used network in the history of online networking....
Still In a generation that bumps "pretty lil liars" into an all-time favorite show... I have no animosity to the fellas that still watch cartoons.

I'm not a Marvel's fan to be honest, but Daredevil was one of their top 5 most watched originals. I never could get through the first season. Ratings dropped each season. Luke Cage was very popular too, but ratings dropped there too. Iron Fist was never really good to begin with. Punisher did nothing for me. Jessica Jones is said to be now on the chopping block. I did watch LC and thought it was good until the last season which took a hard turn Left. JJ was pretty decent.

I do think there's too much smoke around the Disney rumors for there not to be fire. They've canceled half their single character shows, and have not said if the Defenders will be back. JJ and Pun are the only ones confirmed in 2019. IMO, it's odd that Netflix hasn't touted anything "new" on the Marvels front at all.

Dexter is one of my all time faves. The ending is kind of $hitty, but it didn't ruin it for me.

I've watched it through multiple times; once myself and my gf got into it and it was just as good the 2nd time IMO.

I was actually reading the book when Netflix announced the release of a show; the show deviates from the book quite a bit, but still ties it in throughout. Normally this would bug me...but they did an outstanding job. I flew through the show, it was very good.

Also, I HIGHLY recommend The Last Kingdom. Especially for anyone who enjoys the Anglo/Saxon time period.

Watched it on Kodi earlier this year. Love BBC (and really all the UK channels) shows. Very different from US TV series in general. My two favs are Hinterland and Shetland. Check them out if you like the UK flavor. The settings of Hinterland and Shetland are amazing. I believe both are on Netflix now.

it makes it difficult to sometimes understand the dialogue so i know i miss some things, but i have found several shows on there that i liked so figured i would give this a go....glad i did!

The more you watch, the easier it gets. I started watching good doses of international TV five years ago or so when US TV started to bore me. It was a little challenging at first.

Love/Hate is also an awesome show from Ireland. It's about a modern day gang, and has incredible actors (some you will recognize from US shows). Hinterland was a very interesting series. They filmed it in both Welsh and English, airing the Welsh version on SC4 first (with subs), and then the English version on BBC 4. It is one of the most awarded UK shows. Richard Harrington was awesome.

Some of the the best shows I've ever watched weren't even in the English language. Brohn:Broen (the original The Bridge) and The original The Killing are incredible if you can tolerate subs. Even the UK/French remake of Brohn:Broen called the Tunnel is excellent.

Been holding off on MitHC and Narcos for when I head to Indy for Christmas. The moms is having surgery right before Christmas, and I'm going to be a binge whore over the two weeks I'm there to take care of her. Might do a rewatch of the Sopranos, GoT, or Dexter. So sick of waiting for the new season of GoT.

I'm now through Season 3, ep 4 of Daredevil and had a question. Simple yes or no will suffice. The end of season 2 and beginning of season 3, they show Murdock telling Karen that he was the Daredevil but never go into detail as to what her response was or what happened directly after that. As then the story picks up with him being involved in the building crash several months later. Do they ultimately go back and explain what happened directly after that meeting?

yes they explain it in the defenders. You do not need to see defenders to watch season 3 ( because daredevil is exponentially better) but it does cover it.

I didn't know that either. I started watching season 3 the other day and was so confused. I guess I'll have to watch these in order.
