It looks like we'll be in the early 20's, ahead of Wisconsin and Ariz. State. We'll probably get jumped by Michigan St. though.

Anyone who has ND behind Texas Tech should be banned from voting. They haven't beaten a single top 50 team. Not a single one.

ND has wins over two ranked teams, with losses to the #10 team and a quasi-ranked team. What Texas Tech has done is the equivalent of playing 7 Purdues and then losing back-to-back games to Oklahoma and Michigan State... and then staying solidly ranked in human polls.

ND is ranked #19 in the computer average which is a fair representation of the body of work. On the "eye test," we suck on a lot of levels and aren't winning impressively. So I guess expect to stand pat at #25.

Wait, so someone seriously ranked fsu #12?

Yeah. My guess is either Mark Helfrich, to keep them from jumping Oregon, or Urban, to close the gap between FSU and OSU.

This things counts for 1/3 of the BCS formula. :pileof:

Holy cow... not to mention someone has undefeated Baylor unranked, 1-loss Missouri unranked, 1-loss Auburn unranked...

And someone has 2-loss hasn't-beaten-a-single-top-50-team Texas Tech 9th!!! 9th!!!!!!!!

We really need to roll this weekend. And we need Stanford, BYU, Oklahoma to win. Would be perfect scenario.

I thought they release every coach's ballot to avoid idiotic, self-serving rankings?!?

To clarify FSU 12th, and Baylor unranked, found this on Tomahawk Nation. Apparently that just means 12th was their lowest ranking THIS SEASON:

Little disappointed we're not ranked higher at this time, but there isn't a strong argument for us to be a lot higher given the 6-2 teams ahead of us. I think we could be ahead of ASU and Wisconsin given the opponents we've faced and those that we've beaten and lost to. I couldn't see us higher than 20th at this time though. It would be hard to move back into Top 10 at this point and back into a BCS bowl, but some things could happen in the coming weeks with rivalries and conference championships. At best I don't think we'll get above 15th in the polls by the end of the season though, and thats if we find a way to win out of course. All three of the coming games won't be pushovers, certainly can't overlook Pitt given that every game against them has been decided by 1 score or less in the last 8-10 years except for the 2005 game.

It's too bad this season is literally BCS or bust this year.

SB Nation put out their new version of bowl predictions today. They have UCF in the Sugar Bowl playing A&M and Fresno State playing in the Fiesta Bowl against Baylor.

They have us playing the Pinstripe Bowl against Cinci

Damn, don't want to play a Big East reject if we're going to be relegated to a lower bowl. Can't we play like...a middle of the road SEC team? Florida and Georgia are struggling, might be a good game. It would probably be good for recruiting and give us some momentum for next year. I could see the media pushing for a Cinci matchup, but I feel nothing about matching up with the Bearcats. I'd rather play a 2 loss Miami team again, or maybe UCLA would be a good matchup (Although I'm not sure how either of those work with contractual obligations).

Poinsettia bowl is one Notre Dame could very well play in. Not sure that is much better than pinstripe but it is an option due to Army's poor record.

Know it is early but, two sites have the Irish penned against Rutgers in the Pinstripe bowl.
