The level of football talk has plummeted in recent weeks.

Even the louisville thread, the most you get is "i'm worried about shough being 6'5, or their run game concerns me, or we haven't give up over 20 points this season, or 20% chance of rain".

Some really fun, deep discussion being had. I'm happy to not interrupt it any more with conflicting takes.

In all seriousness, there has been some more negativity around here since NIU, predictably so, but isn't it amazing how much more harmonious the board is when it's just simple discussion and not trolling? There are flaws on this football team, but we don't have them beating a dead horse

So I’ve noticed that IE has seemed like a better place over the last couple of weeks then I realized Put Up and AMike haven’t been around. Did they get banned after the NIU debacle? There isn’t any mention in this thread so 🤷‍♂️.

I thought about this recently. I really enjoyed his insights on the OL play. He really knew his stuff. Hopefully he's still around.

Mike's in his mid 80's, I believe. There's nothing online about him passing away, but yeah, he hasn't posted in awhile. I hope all is well with him.

....might as well broadcast the status quo: I read IE all the time. It's still too "personally nasty" some times to want to dive in and contribute anything. ... and this season is not overly inspiring of "measured commentary." I'll probably continue to try to shut up as to football. Maybe I'll comment some on what I coached: basketball. (far more collegial group of fans.)

.... as to health: borderline everything. But not terrible. My retirement community (around 150 people) has three deaths every two months. I live in an apartment on an 8 apartment corridor. We've had nine deaths in five years. Facing reality, this time in life is one to be close to God and watch monumental change happen to individuals. Thank GOD for my lifelong Catholicism.

I talked to my handler at the Kremlin. He said it wasn't them. Said something about Tim Walz's CCP girlfriend. I don't know, his English is not good and I don't speak Russian (yet).
