I can't say that I had the much trouble getting my son to go to sleep. As a newborn I would secure him in my lap while in a rocking chair. His favorites were The Rime of the Ancient Mariner by Coleridge and Dulce et Decorum est by Wilfred Owen.

I realize that it was the rocking motion and the sound and vibration of my recitation and not his literary acumen, but allow me fantasy.

The only time I remember muttering or forcefully voicing "****" was when he was at the pre-speech stage and was crying for extended periods. What the hell was I to do? He was fed, burped, his diaper changed, no temperature was and being rocked in my arms. What the hell else could it be?

"What the "****" is the problem and what the "****" can I do??? More often than not it involved Amoxycillin –
The Pink Stuff."
