A good chunk of Notre Dame’s roster has played in the high heat when they were in high school too.

Let’s do the opposite. Let’s say this is a first round playoff game in South Bend in December. The temperature is 20 degrees. ND would be just as miserable as A&M.
20 degrees would be comfortable. Much colder would be not ideal lol. And no, that would affect A&M much more than Notre Dame.

That 1991 Navy game was the coldest game I sat through. Just awful.
Of recent memory, the BYU game in 2013 and the Northwestern game in 2014 were both miserable. I remember sitting through that OT loss to Northwestern freezing my ass off questioning what I was doing with my life….

I don’t think the weather will be much of a factor. It’s a night game. A 2:30 game may have an impact, but not night. I’m more concerned about the crowd noise.

I was also at 2013 BYU. That game was what prompted me to swear off freezing games.

I was at the 2014 Northwestern game. It had snowed the two days prior. There was packed snow in the stadium. I looked up the temperature and it says mid 20’s. Trust me it felt a heck of a lot colder. Took hours for my feet to unthaw/not hurt. Awful outcome as well.

I also was at the 2014 game. Tailgating was miserable. I was a weenie and left at half time to bar drink/game watch, a decision I do not regret

I think maybe the night game vs FSU a few years ago might have been single digits with wind chill. Een in pregame, you could see FSU players were already looking for the team bus.
I don’t know what the wind chill was but the temp was 27. I was dressed properly, but the cold crept through the clothes. Wouldn’t doubt that the WCF was single digits.

Hard not to feel confident going into this one. He may be growing and learning as a head coach, but overall Marcus Freeman is a pretty damn good football coach in his own right. Thats how he emded up here as our DC to begin with. Elko is getting a lot of attention for his coaching acumen but aside from Freemans own abilities there is not another school in the country with top 3 coordinators on each side of the ball. Klein does not move the needle for me and didnt when there was talk of him coming here either. I would have much preferred Ludwig at the time.

Only reason I ask is the Locked On podcast floated the question about why we haven’t heard much about him.

All over is a stretch.
QB - Wash. Maybe a slight edge to us
RB - ND
TE - ND slight edge
OL - A&M most likely
WR - ND slight edge
DE - A&M
DT - Wash hopefully
LB - Wash, hopefully we end up having an edge here but we'll see
CB - ND major advantage
Safety - ND but I don't know much about their safetied
Aggie here,

Look I’m aware that I’m no where as up to speed on the status of y’all’s position groups as y’all are, but I’m having a hard time believing y’all are going to have a MAJOR advantage at corner. Probably some sort of advantage, but not an insane one. A&M secondary was trash last year but elko came up as a safety’s coach. I find it hard to believe that his coaching and portal renovations aren’t going to make a colossal difference. Our secondary was great when he was our DC.

You need to research more on and they might have the best DB group in college football def top 3

ND returns the National Defensive Player of the Year and Unanimous All American at Safety & another All American at CB.
And the other CB is arguably the most gifted of the group.

Stay away from Tyler W just floating stuff out there.
He says stuff like that, with ZERO inside info, then it causes a shit storm.
We hadn’t heard a peep about Rylie Mills either. Or Billy Schrauth. Or Jack Kiser.
I can name two dozen players we haven’t heard about.

Yeah. That was pretty unnecessary from Tyler. This is the least amount of access the media has had in a while. Why would you hear much about the backup RB?

Appreciate the input. NDs secondary should be very good. A lot of Aggie fans seem really excited about their remodeled group.

If both secondaries perform as their fans expect, it's going to come down to whoever can run the ball consistently (and avoid TOs). It's difficult to project because you guys have an excellent DL with a lot of size and we have a young, inexperienced OL. We have a very good defense who should be able to limit the ground game. We have a very athletic, mobile QB, you have a more polished passer who can still pick up yards when needed.

Aggie fans believe their team is the better equipped unit, we believe ND has what it needs to overcome the first big test of the season. 5 days and counting.

I needed that laugh. I’d put our secondary up against anyone’s. Our offensive line, however …

And you're probably correct. Just thought it was odd his TD odds weren't listed at all.
