I never thought we'd lose to Tulsa and get hammered by Navy.

Agreed, although the Tulsa game actually did scare me after the Navy debacle.

We can't start counting these teams as automatic wins until we start automatically beating these teams. Her opinion isn't crazy...it's not like she's saying that the Citadel would beat Oregon; we're not even favored by that much.

Having said that, I think we'll win, but how can we get mad about anyone predicting us to lose? We've lost 5 games already!

Anything's possible with our green and undermanned team, but I don't see what I'd call a good win anywhere on Army's record yet. The best they've done so far is Duke. [Duke actually has some good players this year and apparently a good coach, but....]

yeah you are right. This has been a challenging year to say the least. I like how our kids play with heart and they seem to be doing alright and managed to bounce back with a big win over Utah. I see us building a little momentum as this team is learning and getting better by the day. We really are not that far from being a good football team. I give the young kids credit for stepping in and playing well.., hope that continues this weekend against Army.

If our offense doesn't step up we will not beat Army.
We need to get off to a good start and make Army play from behind. And tackle the fullback every play (and not down field 20 yards).
Army is dead last in passing; we must make them pass, putting 9 on the line if needed.
And tackle the fullback.

I almost didn't post this [despite a testosterone attack---can't afford a lot of that at age seventy], and probably still shouldn't, but the devil made me do it.

I would never bet on this game... never... far too many underclassmen going against a service academy (always hard fought games) with a gimic offense... AND it's one of the biggest recruiting weekends in recent school history... our luck says it'll blow up in our face.

I'd get prepared for a dog fight right now if I were ya'll.

i'm ready.. every game this yr. has been on the edge of my seat walking around yelling going crazy kind of games...
i agree fully it will be hard win!!! i think the guys know how big this is for notre dame football..
