I saw this but didn't see what was written. Not like there is a lot of room for a manifesto there.

I say no on pro hit - first shot to the leg from ten feet away?
He wasn’t a pro but definitely targeted. Too many mistakes, ie starbucks video etc. Each casing had the word of a book where insurance denied a claim. They’ll find him in short order

Gattaca,

A lot of your suggestions for common sense gun control have been implemented in Canada. While I agree and support some of them, I believe the following links will shine light on the larger problem(s). Definitely worth a look.

Cheers and Go Irish!!

It will all change when Canada becomes #51. ;)

Leaving clues like that will do it. Taking my guess about not paying claims, I now wonder if he had a wife or child that died because United wouldn't approve treatment?

Health care/insurance in the US needs to be fixed, biggest crime outfit around
Seems like a matter of time before you start seeing more of this happening. People were able to stamp out the BLM protests because it's race based, but class revolt is something that is transcendent.

I doubt it.

Occupy Wall Street fizzled out pretty quick. Some dorky losers whose favorite movie is V for Vendetta will post cringe and drive away any sympathy normal people have.

Did you forget occupy wall street? That was cute for a few minutes. Protest in the streets, eat the rich, etc.

Lasted about as long as a six pack in my garage on a football Saturday.

I mean, Trump was able to tap into people's frustrations with the political status quo and seemed to create an iconic movement. I think there's space for more populism to pop up that learned from Occupy Wall Street and mix that into a Trump style.

It doesn't have to be Occupy Wall Street. My point is people's frustrations with the insurance/medical industry could reach a boiling point to which you get a populist/radical type situation.

There's plenty of examples throughout history and people protesting corruption.

Sure, but what do they plan on accomplishing? Assassinating or kidnapping insurance executives isn't sustainable.

FWIW, I think this was set up by someone close to him, not some zealot. The guy knew exactly when he'd be leaving the hotel, or he is the single luckiest hit man ever. I'd be interested in seeing the phone records of the people at the hotel with the CEO.

The guy was arriving for a conference. I’d assume the start time was publicly known.

Oh, I'm not trying to justify it just saying that these sort of things will be popping up more because of the conditions. When you have hopeless people with crushing debt and medical issues you don't exactly get the most sound thinking.

Nice back track.

Just as a couple hundred losers protesting income inequality didn't change anything on Wall Street, people lashing out/ protesting against insurance companies isn't gonna bring single payer healthcare to the US.

Back track? In your opinion, state what you think I was trying to say or what I was back tracking on. Not everything is some battle, you see how NoDak can carry on a conversation without getting in his feelings?

All I was saying economic insecurity leads to people lashing out and it's likely to continue. I'm not siding with a bunch of anarchists who have no vision lmao.

Jumping to a lot of conclusions here now without any idea of the shooters motives. Let this thing play out before it’s decided this was some big strike against the healthcare industry. Could be as simple as a marital dispute.

This is where I'm at. Regardless, I have A LOT of interest in knowing more about the shooter. In the video, he appears to be both professional and amateur at the same time. Intriguing to say the least.

Agree, but it will take someone like Trump to really get the ball rolling.

People are frustrated for sure. From CNN.com

In one stark example, a Facebook post by UnitedHealth Group expressing sadness about UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson’s death received 62,000 reactions – 57,000 of them laughing emojis. UnitedHealth Group is the parent company of UnitedHealthcare, the division that Thompson ran.

Listening to some guys that are weapons experts, they don't believe this was a professional hit at all.
1. A pro would have walked up directly behind the guy and put one in the back of the head, requiring only one shot.
2. A pro or weapons expert wouldn't let the gun pull down and slightly to the right hitting the leg with the first shot.
3. They would have tested the gun prior to make sure it wouldn't jam.
4. They do believe the shooter is pretty familiar with the gun given he was able to clear the jam quickly.
5. A pro would never let anyone see his face so clearly.
6. They wouldn't mark the casings.

It appears the shooter showed his face to a hotel employee prior to the shooting. It's just a matter of time before he's identified and apprehended.

Yeah the whole thing about lowering his mask in the hotel as he flirted with some employee would be totally reckless for a “hitman”.

Agreed with most of this. The ONLY thing I will say is WRT #3, you never know when a gun will jam. You can maintenance your gun regularly, buy proven ammo, test test and test some more and still experience a jam. But yeah, I'm definitely leaning towards "a guy who knows his weapon" but hasn't necessarily done this before...

You guys watch too many movies. A hitman is a hitman is a hitman. Even Tom Brady threw a few interceptions. Rex Grossman lead a team to Super Bowl. I’m sure in the worls of “professional hitmen” there are good ones and bad ones… and even the good ones make mistakes.

The mask thing though would be like Tom Brady lining up under the Guard for the final play of the game needing a touchdown. I suppose it could've been a "hitman" that was hired who had no idea what he was doing. Beyond idiotic. I have no doubt the guy will be caught with video footage from the hotel.

A wild twist is maybe he did it on purpose as a cry for help knowing the real hitman made him do it while holding his family hostage…

 I think you are on to something. Maybe he also went to the bank and the kidnappers asked him to go to the bank and get an international money order.
