The better team doesn't always win. 3 years in a row is a concern. Luck can only carry you so far but at some point you have to start questioning your own family.

You could say we didnt live up to our potential either, ND should have won by double digits AT Ann Harbor last year, but absolutely FREAK plays (all against us) changed all that. Besides, 5 TOs in one game is hard to repeat... I know Michigan had a solid year last year, but looking at our schedule for next year, I consider Michigan a win instead of a toss up. I would rather put MSU or Stanford as a toss-up game before Michigan.

However, like you said, the better team doesnt always win, but I cant predict fluke plays and one of the teams coming out flat (like we did against USC in 2011).

So what happens to UM's recruiting class after their karma reverses and they suffer embarrassing losses to Bama and ND (maybe they lose their buy game in between too because they focus on gameplanning ND and are butthurt post Bama)

Air Force game will be one watch.

I was just on espn reading comments on the Alabama-Michigan game, and the Michigan fans think there is a chance they could lose to Bama. However when the Notre Dame game gets brought up, according to Michigan fans there is not a snow balls chance in hell ND beats Michigan. They all say Michigan drags ND at home. I think Michigan fans are in for a reality check this year. The luck on those horseshoes Michigan shoved up their asses last year is about to wear off.

Yet we lost three times in a row now and feel the same exact way. So how exactly are THEY in the wrong here?

In saying that ND has no chance to win at all? You see nothing wrong with that because we lost three in a row. Then why play the game?

Not exactly sure who the we is, but 99.999% of Irish fans are not part of it. I don't think any fan out there (besides the "we" you reference) thinks we can't lose that game. What he is saying is that Michigan fans think they can't lose it. The last three years they have had come-from-behind miracles which required stunts on their part and us putting our heads where the sun don't shine. Yet they think they can't lose it this year. They are in the wrong.

Don't forget 2005. They couldn't lose that one either.

If they land Isaac, Levenberry and Treadwell......

I think they get Treadwell for sure. Isaac they have a great shot. Thankfully Levenberry committed to FSU. They have a nice class, but I don't think it's as good as advertised. There are a bunch of guys ND didn't even offer.

So because ND didn't offer means they aren't good?

I doubt it. Hoke is not the kind of coach to take them lightly.

In a few years, they won't need luck to win any football games.

Hoke has been recruiting defense so far.. Until if they get Isaac and Treadwell I haven't seen any type of good skill recruits that scare me yet. I know Morris is highly touted but he flopped at a camp in Texas and UM fans have him beating out Gardner next year and the left handed Tom Brady. Plus I think they are due for a reality check this season and may see some decommits/Urban tactics before it's all said and done. Last year was a miracle IMO.

Picked up a commitment from 3 star MI reciever Csont'e York, only other offers besides scUM were Cincy, 'Cuse, Toledo and Bowling Green

Good for us for them to fill up with these kinda prospects

This kid could be a first round draft pick... Generally we pick these kids as well.

And now because you said that he will catch a game winning touchdown against us in 3 or 4 years.

Fill up with these kind of prospects? If you look at Scout ratings Michigan has like three 3* prospects, same at 247. I think at Rivals it's like 4. Out of 18 commits.

Really filling up on these types of prospects though!

He's saying he'd rather you guys get 3 stars then 4 stars. Is that so hard a concept?

I understand u guys have the #1 class, I'm not mentally challenged or blind.

18 is quite a high number of commits and the more 3 star prospects u get the less room there is for elite prospects that tend to decide later. Lower end prospects like him tend to jump at the chance to commit and if that happens with a couple more prospects then suddenly u can't take the guys u want more.

I think we all get what you meant STL, don't know what the dude expects coming to an Irish site. Fill up, as in to fill remaining spots.

Not that a 3 :s: can't make an impact. Or that Michigan doesn't have an outstanding class. Just that you would rather the rest of the Skunk Bear's class fill up now with lower rated dudes. I agree.

STL you should know better! A Michigan fan doesn't understand anything that is not written/drawn in crayon!

Freshman defensive end Chris Rock has left the Michigan football team, a Michigan spokesman confirmed Thursday night.

Rock, from Columbus, Ohio, redshirted and did not play last season.

The 6-foot-5, 267-pound lineman was rated by ESPN as the No. 34 defensive end in the Class of 2011. He had 15 sacks as a junior in high school.

Going back to stand-up. Couldn't cut it playing football.

Looks like Bosch will EE. I love our kids don't get me wrong, but I wish we would have gotten Bosch from St. Francis. One of my undergrad housemates went to high school there in Wheaton.

I'm a big Hurst believer. I was said we didn't look at him more. He's got a so-so offer sheet, but the OSU and Nebraska offers suggest he's on the 4* side of the line. Plus he's got NFL bloodlines, which are always nice in terms of work ethic.

I wouldn't be shocked to see him be the star of their defensive recruits though when all is said and done. He's got top tier athleticism and size. The main knock, as with all but the very best, is a tendency of stay too high.

He's deciding between Bama and scUM and MGOBLOG says they will have a commit within 48 hours so I'm just connecting the dots here.
