"Well you may throw your rock and hide your hand
Workin' in the dark against your fellow man
But as sure as God made black and white
What's down in the dark will be brought to the light"

Ask not for whom the bell tolls, Michigan, for it tolls for thee.

Yikes. And it's funny because it's true. Whittingham might not make it more than one season.
It would be so Michigan to let him go after just one season. He came from a school with a much more conservative culture and better discipline. Given Michigan's history and culture (or lack of), this will take a while to fix, if they're willing to do so. What looked like a home run hire might turn out to be a foul ball.

He looked disinterested and otherwise checked out as he was winding down at Utah. Now he looks like he regrets not retiring.

Talked to a UM fan last night. He's out on Whittingham, out on Underwood, out on the entire recruiting/portal acquisition team. I had a good chuckle over his pain. But I brought up the question to him: Are they chained to Underwood because of his deal? He didn't seem to know. Were the terms of Bryce's contract ever publicly disclosed?

There's surprisingly still some who still point the fingers at everyone but Underwood, but Idk why/how. Dude just doesn't see the field well at all. It could perhaps be that they simply don't want to accept that their $10M+ NIL darling didn't pan out.

I think the majority want Tommy Carr. Some don't think it will make a difference. Others are delusional and think everyone except for Bryce is the problem (Pizza boy included).

Nevertheless, I'm enjoying the hell out of their shit show.

The riskiest financial bet you can make right now is a P2 school signing toolsy/project 5 star QB that expects to start right away

Underwood, now Faizon Brandon. Lagway before that.

The reason they have a 5 next to their name is not their ability to start as a freshman.

Nico Iamaleava, too.

I said it when Iamaleava's situation was happening at Tennessee, but if you live by the sword, you die by the sword. There's a difference between NIL enticing a player to your school and it being the sole consideration. Iamaleava (and Underwood) were mercenaries and let it be known that they'd be going to the highest bidder during the recruiting process. Well, you better nail your evals on those guys if you're going to give them that $$$, because if it falls apart, they're jumping ship at the first opportunity.
