At what point does this become an institutional control issue? Or is this not even a thought because it’s the adult in the room not the kids in the room?

Which part would be the "lack of institutional control" part? The adultery, for which they fired him, or his actions after being fired( at which time he was not an employee of Michigan)?

According to people like Josh Pate this has been known for months. Coach agents were made aware of this potential vacancy months ago.

Also if a Chicago Bears father/scout is going scorched earth on the admin and they finally acted there has to be more legs to this than just two consenting adults in a quid pro situation.

This is day 1. This is a man that went suicidal/homicidal after he got fired, I’m sure there is more before he got fired that the chicks dad was upset about… that Michigan already knew about.

Does anyone know if the assistant went through with her abortion then?
I'm assuming so?
How does coerced abortion get treated in court?

They're going to have to let all these kids out of their NLIs if they actually knew about this for months and said/did nothing
Doesn’t really matter if they “let them out”. With Coach being fired they can walk away and jump in the portal.

Not to try and compare or bring up past issues but this reminded me of the Corwin Brown situation. What was the catalyst that drove that issue? I remember it was something similar (threatened to hurt himself or others). Any update on where his life is now? My memory is getting worse. Always like CB.

Wonder if Sherrone Moore goes to Siberia now or if he gets the Freeze/Petrino/Price redemption arc.

There was a special on him and his family not that long ago. He’s essentially walking CTE. Not sure what drove that particular situation. Here’s the video:

I remember it was Bob Chmiel that talked him out of the house.

Look, I have a giant hate boner for michigan, but nothing will happen to the school. They investigated the accusations and fired him.

LoIC has not been charged for adultery or fraud (her dramatic salary boost) by the head coach. It's recruiting violations and academic fraud and impermissible benefits, shit like that.

Fucking Baylor covered up rape and didn't get charged with LoIC.

If you're speculating there were recruiting violations or something in his *checks notes* 2 years of head coaching in the NIL era, then just say that.

From what I’m reading on the Michigan side, 2 things:

1) “worst kept secret in town” and “entire team knew”. What an embarrassing program

2) unverified, but read a couple different places this came about because the girls father went scorched earth. The girl’s father is in the front office for the Chicago Bears as a scout.
Assuming they both have the same last name...

I don 't think that's true for the recruits that signed an NLI a few days ago. They have to ask for release from that.

Why would they be treated differently? I’d be really surprised if they are held to a different set of rules.

I believe that the rules of NLI lock someone in for a set period of time which is different than being on campus and then hitting the portal. It used to be a year, I don't know what it is now because the rules change all the time.

To your point though, if you request release I am fairly certain that the CCA grants it if the head coach left. I had forgotten about that provision, but it happened with kid from the school I coach at a few years ago and at least at that time it was a black-and-white process. All you do is file a request for release and then they approve it.

Only thing I have to go on, is that Julian Sayin was on campus for a week when Saban retired and he went straight to OSU.
