That's a surprise. Looks like Michigan might be enduring an ND offseason where the veterans stick around to keep the program from collapsing.
Reading between the lines, that probably gives Hart the edge to be the HC if JH is gone.

Donovan Edwards should be cutting into Corum's carries next year, but I still think returning is a bad move. Unless he can't train at all for the combine with the meniscus injury.

Idk about coaching because Corum and co have been really good, but he has shown zero ability to recruit so far... his RB commits composite rankings are 798, 169, and 765. The 169th player is 9 miles from Ann Arbor.

He's 36 years old and has never called plays. So they hand him the Michigan job just because?

I mean, good luck to them if that's what they decide, and if he wants the job bad enough he may as well take it if offered to him. Seems like a mistake to not put feelers out and see if you can get a guy with HC experience.

Exactly. We all hate Michigan for good reason but it is legitimately one of the three best jobs in the Midwest. They might be able to do better than promoting the running backs coach.

Not sure how that would help his draft stock, though, if he's getting significantly less carries coming off of an injury. I get how that helps the longevity of his career, but I'm not seeing the logic in passing up the NFL.

Even if what Dale said is true and he is getting NIL compensation to match that of a late round signing bonus, he's risking his future altogether if he gets hurt again.

Not sure what else he has to prove, but it's ultimately his decision.

he goes in NFL draft this year without being able to workout then he ain't getting drafted so he has nothing to lose by coming back

Its funny how UM fans are whining about how they should have been in the championship game and probably would have won based on their win vs OSU and how OSU almost beat Georgia. I am fairly certain, while the game might have been closer, the beatdown would still have happened.

It certainly would've been more fun to watch UGA beat up on scUM 65-7 than TCU, but I don't think any of us wanted those punks to be within one game of glory, so I'm okay with it.
