Multiple sources informed The Michigan Insider this afternoon that Michigan Director of Recruiting Matt Dudek has resigned his position and is expected to take on a similar role at Mississippi State. This news comes on the heels of a developing story first reported on TMI last Friday that has former UCLA, San Jose State, and Fresno State Director of Player Development Courtney Morgan soon joining Michigan’s staff in the same capacity.

Sources further indicated that Morgan, a former Wolverine lineman (1999-2003), had himself been on the verge of heading to Mississippi State to run its recruiting department when his alma mater came calling. His decision to head home left an opening in Starkville that is now expected to be filled by Dudek.

yeah he was buddies with Giles Jackson who just transferred out of SCUM and landed at Washington. Folks saying he wanted to early enroll and somehow the SCUM administration screwed up.

It's because scUM wouldn't let him enroll early.

He graduated early intending to enroll early, but the school was sending him mixed signals or else refusing to verify his EE status. Then ultimately he was NOT allowed to EE.

I'd say that Harbaugh has to be going nuts about the admin dropping the ball... but he doesn't have that fire anymore.

I’ve been curious about the portal transfer numbers but then how do you manage the maximum number of kids you can bring in each year. I have not kept up with the rules but is 25 still the max minus EEs etc? How does the portal affect that number.

So UK been recruiting a ton of DB's in Detroit metro including Belleville's Jeremiah Caldwell (2022 3 star ATH, committed) and Maxwell Hairston from West Bloomfield (2021 3 star CB, committed) so this appointment for SCUM makes a lot of sense
