Chris Evans expected RB out of school.

On a side note Harbaugh was in my town recruiting a TE Theo Johnson. I told my son to tell him Go Irish! Video to follow..

...it sounds like Michigan told Amauri that they needed him to wait until the late period to sign so they could see how he did in the classroom. Amauri then did what he needed to do academically, only for Michigan to tell him at that point that there was no longer room for him in the class. If that's true, that's a really crappy way of processing a kid.

They really need to reinstate our wins. How Penn State got theirs returned, and ours were removed, I'll never know.

And Miami didn't lose wins, and UNC didn't get the Death Penalty, and Louisville will probably get just a slap on the wrist...

ND won't get the wins back because they didn't hire a hotshot law firm to defend itself. UNC, Miami, Penn State and Louisville all did. If ND decided they wanted to fight back on it they would get the wins back but they won't.

It's not even about the law firm or "fighting back."

All ND had to do was say, "the issue was dealt with internally, and we stand by the standards that we set for our athletes." After that, DON'T COOPERATE. The NCAA is beholden to the schools that it serves, so if ND said they stand by their tutoring program despite any previous bad actors, the NCAA basically would have had to drop it.

That's why UNC got off. Everyone in the world knows their athletes were taking bogus classes and getting improper academic help for years. But UNC said "we stand by our bogus classes and we offer them to all students," so the NCAA kind of just had to take it.

However, in ND's case, ND said "yeah we screwed up, now we'll show you all the proof as a sign of good faith so you won't hammer us." They got hammered anyway.

ND handed the NCAA a loaded gun. They played ball and got burned.

DO NOT COOPERATE.

The worst part is that since ND gave themselves up and got punished worse than the rest for far lesser accusations, the optics make us look just as bad among other programs. No one gives us credit for self reporting and taking it on the chin.

Come on. We used 3 different investigative teams using criminal forensics used in homicide cases. What happened at ND must have been HORRIBLE.
