It's the big boosters who like Harbaugh. That whole program is literally on fire. From players to coaches to the admin who's afraid to pull the trigger to recruits who are now looking at other options.

You couldn't write a more glorious story.

Only thing better would be if ND played scUM this year, and pounded the shit out of them.

IIRC, he's 4th on the depth chart. He's a frosh, but their D is terrible and i thought he'd be getting some reps.

Especially with both starting DEs Hutchinson and Paye out. No burn.

Could be rehabbing his knee as well as frosh stuff.

MCL, PCL and meniscus October 2019 I think.

Even by including the 21 victories Notre Dame had to "vacate" (what a joke) as a result of NCAA sanctions, with this year's records being included, ND has a better winning pct. than the frickin' skunkbears (.730 for ND and .727 for scUM)! Add back in those 21 victories stolen from ND, it's not even close ... ND elevates to .746!

A poster on Michigan’s 247 board confirmed that there was a meeting between the coaching staff and parents of players. A few highlights below.

Probably best described as a vent fest, the kind of stuff I believe is a manifestation of the frustration that comes with losing.... not meeting Michigan Man expectations.

If I could allocate most of the suggestions complaints into categories, it would be headed; “players are being required to grind too hard, from regular fb practices etc to returning to/playing through injury.

Also sublime stuff like incorporating a “turnover chain.”

With what Matt Campbell has accomplished at ISU, I suspect he’d be on scUM’s short list to replace Harbaugh. He’s a Midwest dude & has done more w/ less while scUM has done less w/ more dating back to the Rich Rod hire.

I would have loved to see harbaugh reaction to the patent suggesting a turnover chain.

I don't think even Michigan is enough to pull Campbell away from Iowa State. He freaking loves it there.

Yea if he was at ND or scUM, he might be able to crack into Ohio St's backyard for talent. Prior to winning back to back Big 12 coach of the year awards in 2017 and 2018, he was the MAC coach of the year in 2015 after leading Toledo for 4 years.

He was born in North East Ohio, son of a football coach, and played DL at Pitt for a year before transferring to play Div 3 ball at University of Mount Union close to his roots near Canton OH. Coaching stops at Bowling Green and Mount Union preceded his Toledo experience where he again climbed the ladder starting as OL and OC before gaining Head Coach title.

At a spry 41 years old and 9 years of HC experience with strong Ohio connections, he will be a great hire. It will be unlikely timing to get him on staff at ND unless he goes to a blue blood and in 6 years has an AD or admin issue.

Hoping he "loves" Iowa St and turns down the dumpster fire in Ann Arbor if made available to him.

Desperately want Fleck at UM. It would be glorious for them to turn into the gimmicky row the boat school. So easy to make fun of.

You can wish and hope for a lot of different coaches to be there. I'm satisfied with Harbaugh.

No way Fickell would entertain scUM imo

Under normal circumstances I would be skeptical he turns them down but I think Day has his eyes on the NFL and Fickell is a virtual lock to succeed him at OSU.

Plus, you would figure UM wouldn’t want to get a coach who will instantly jump to OSU at the first opportunity.

And one that can't even say the school's name. "That school up north"

No doubt but sooner or later 5-star culture needs 5-star players. I think Texas may look at him, too along w/ Cristobol. That’s assuming Urban Meyer isn’t interested. Otherwise, it’s stick w/ Herman another year.

Someone will pull the trigger on Urban before to long if he wants to come back.

If LR from OK goes pro, I could see TX and OK fighting over him in a year or so.

Texas wins that battle easily...the money, resources, and recruiting are exactly what Urban would want. Plus, living in Austin. Year round golf, no state income tax, easy conference to rule.

UT athletics has a pretty large construction project ongoing doesn’t it? And Herman has a pretty big buyout IIRC? The boosters expected to sign those construction checks may withhold if they want to use their leverage to get rid of Herman.

He better not lose to KSU or KU or he’ll be fired on the spot.

Andy Staples believes former Falcons HC Dan Quinn would be a success in CFB if folks could look past his recent firing. Said he’d be an excellent recruiter

Same conference, and OK isn't lacking in the bolded. I would agree TX is more attractive as a place in general. OK is in a much better situation right now though, and has been way more relevant than TX for a while. I think it would really depend on how long Urbie wanted to coach. If he wants an easy 5 year stint, and then back to retirement, OK would likely pay him as much, and it would be easier. If he's open ended and wanted to be a FB God again by returning a team to glory, then maybe TX is better.
