I like how Harbaugh chastised Michigan during his time with Stanford, how they had no commitment to academics in the football program and various things. He made it seem like he would never go back, and then the administration and Harbaugh decided to get cozy together. What a beautiful relationship, the hypocrisy...and now the awful payoff as they continue to get beat by the bottom tier B1G teams.
I wonder what Brady Hoke is up to?
So much talk of OSU in there when he's losing to MSU.
Hate to be that guy, but holy grammatical errors. How reliable is this source?
It wouldn't surprise me if this came to be true, the contract expiring after next year is bad enough.

My thoughts too. Seems like this is just a preemptive article so the blogger can later say “As I was the first to report back in November”. Would anyone be surprised if Harbaugh parted ways after this year? No.
Personally, because of the Covid situation, I think a lot of coaches will be given extra leniency and the benefit of the doubt.
They could easily lose to all of Wiscy, PSU, OSU, and Maryland (Maryland's O might torch that pass defense). If, in a shortened season, they are anywhere between 2-6 and 4-4, his seat gets scorchingly hot, IMO.
Sandwiched between Wisconsin and Penn State they are @ Rutgers. That also looks like a lose-able game at the moment.
Mgoblog says he is a quack and had basically banned any discussions involving him.
Could you imagine how insane it would get over there if they went 1-7. OMG.

Michigan is a far left institution and football is a largely conservative sports, the two don’t mix. U of M has always been more interested in the process than the outcome and Jim wasn’t able to change the culture as he’d hoped.
I honestly think Wisconsin is a winnable game for UM. They could still salvage this season but they need something from Milton. As much as people have crapped all over the defense, it's not a bad defense. It's that they had a great defense which carried the rest of the team. It's no longer capable of carrying a mediocre offense to ten wins.
Left-right politics is a weird way to put it, but there's definitely a huge cultural divide between Michigan athletics and the administration. It's the same thing you saw happen at places at Pitt and Miami where the snobby presidents decided the athletics thing was beneath them and sunk powerhouse programs.
If only the UM administration matched Stanford’s commitment to right wing politics.
Agreed, I don't actually think or would bet on them going 1-7 but it proves how poor of a team they have that it doesn't seem like they have any gimmies on the schedule. I would bet they finish around 3-5 or 4-4. They lose to OSU and one/two of Wiscy, PSU, and Maryland. That's certainly not going to be a good spot for Harbaugh to recruit into next year. It also makes me wonder if they're going to see any late defections this cycle. Kind of depends on how it all goes down.
