If you have two QBs you don't have one.

My OSU friend is convinced they are overrated for exactly this reason. Pretending your are just going to reload at QB rather than admit you have been lucky is dangerous. OL is unproven but RB/WR is NFL ready. Defense should be stout again but no reason they won't continue to be susceptible to big plays. At least that is his scouting report - he tends to downplay and say they are overrated a lot. Generally as punchable as any bucknut fan.

Funny, i don't have any osu fan friends for this very reason. Couldn't stop punching them.

I know their two 5-star ends are JRs and that's pay day year, but how are they otherwise on defense? Is they entire secondary 1st rounders like usual? Do they have any soft spots?

Mike Hall is back at DT. I think he ate our asses up last year, if I remember correctly. They have a ND like situation at linebacker - vets, Eichenberg and Chambers, have a lot of experience but the younger guys are more athletic/higher ceiling. They're going to play the vets. Not sure about corner. I'm sure they're talented but not much experience as far as I know. Sonny styles should start at safety and rumors are that he's going to be an AA one day.

They're going to commit to stopping the run but now we have a D1 QB that will create chances downfield. If someone can help him out and make a play they'll put some points on the board. I would do my best to use motion and formation to create mismatches. Love or even tyree coming out of the backfield with man coverage against those LBers will only lead to good things.

I've been a Ryan Day defender for a while, but after last night, I think I'm starting to understand where the criticism is coming from. Michigan has handed Ohio State their ass the last two years. 4th and 1 with the game on the line, you run a jet sweep? They seem to be falling further away from the Tressel and Meyer teams of this century. A lot of questions remain about Day's playcalling and the QB for me. I suspect I'm not alone there.

This was an incredibly fortunate win and he knew it, to the point that he had the cameo at the end going on about Lou Holtz. I think Penn State and Michigan are going to beat them this year. There's going to be a lot of heat on him come December.

Some very interesting talk here. Sounds like there will be a part two.

One of the better redemption stories out there, and MC is very aware that without football he probably never gets a chance.

Interesting when he talks about what Prime is trying to do at CU with relation to getting some inner guys out of their "N***a phase."

Strip them of all their wins since Hartline has been on the coaching staff.

Ryan Day must be on his third tin of shoe polish this week alone to keep hiding all those grey hairs

I usually watch the replay of games I attend just so I can get a better picture of what actually happened, but I refused to watch the OSU game.

Well I’m a sicko and finally watched tonight while the wife was out to dinner with friends and the kids went down early…

Only 5 minutes in and what the hell is NBC doing with the sound? They mute the hell out of the game. It truly sounds like the announcers are just simply talking over a recording or announcing from a second location with how much they mute natural stadium noise. It’s awkward and sounds terrible.

Edit update: I stopped watching after the first offensive series when Hartman didn’t convert the 4th and 1. Too soon still

Mid 40's with a high stress job and not a spec of gray.
I was salt and pepper in my beard at 35...
Ryan Day has a flat of this delivered monthly.

Day is making some baffling decisions here. Moving on from the guy who won the job preseason while not hitting the portal hard because you like the guys “in your room”
Are they really going with Devin Brown?

They're going to be in for quite the signing day. Their 5 star DL Eddrick Houston is trending towards Bama after a weekend visit. WR Jeremiah McClellan is trending to Oregon. RB Jordan Lyle may be flipping to Miami. They were supposed to flip Amaris Williams from Florida but Auburn swooped in. This doesn't even include potential a Jeremiah Smith flip.

If Houston flips, OSU's front 7 recruiting gets an F-. Their only gets would be Edge Eric Mensah (#825 nationally), and LB Payton Pierce (#202 nationally). I am sure I will be eating these words somehow on Wednesday with a certain LB, but as things stand, this is an abysmal outlook.
