There is no way NIL $'s can get to the point where they can compete with the potential #1 pick overall.

Why did Peyton Manning and Matt Lienhart stay? Stroud might feel their is unfinished business and wants to win a Natty even though he will be first overall.

And then again, some 5th rounders won't play in NY6 bowl games.

Even if Stroud leaves they've still got 5 star McCord waiting in the wings and all that skill position talent so I doubt they skip a beat with or without Stroud. How they got both him and Ewers in the same year it's a mystery, but Ewers left early of course. They also brought in Devin Brown this year who is no slouch.

I think that is selling Stroud a bit short. They won’t be trotting Pyne out there but they will naturally regress without Stroud.

He’s one of only a handful of QBs in the country that could have made that UGA game even close.

The rumor of him staying in school for another year because of an NIL deal was funny. That would’ve been incredibly dumb on his part.

I think that just had to be Buckeye fans wishing and hoping. As a 1st round pick his money will be considerably more than anything NIL and contain more years.

Back in 2017 is when they set up this home and home. It gets canceled shortly after the playoff expansion is announced. Cooincidently the expanded playoffs start in ????? you guessed it, 2024. No incentive to have a real schedule anymore. Play it safe, schedule the school of the blind and you will have no more than 2 losses. Playoff inclusion secured.

Was Fields the one that said he was being called the "N" word and that was his reason for transferring? Sounds like something else was involved if so.

I think that actually happened, but that was definitely just a front so he had a plausible reason to be granted immediate eligibility, since this was before the instant transfer rule went into effect.

It was the reason for immediate eligibility but then his younger sister committed to GA so i guess he wasnt really worried about his safety

That is what happened. The person that called him that was a GA baseball player and he also transferred (was asked to leave). He ended up at a D-2 baseball program - North Greenville University.
