Yeah fuck this stupid conference. We should have let it fall apart. ND is carrying this sorry ass conference and this is the shit they do. Pitt is a glorified G5 school these days that plays in a NFL stadium that only sells out or comes close with us or WVU comes into town. Pitt has had Gameday twice in 20 years, wonder who their opponent was. The last time Miami was relevant the GWOT hadn’t even kicked off. These are some shady ass bitches. “Partners” my ass. We should pull our teams from their sinking ship and seek affiliation with the B1G.

Not to mention the ACC screwed us over by letting Miami duck us last year, then scheduling this year's game in Week One so they could have an opening weekend TV show. If we played Miami once we'd sorted out a few things, we win no problem.

We need an IT expert around here…
What you missed is a bunch of B list ACC and Miami media plus a random Meet the Press guy (???) tell the world that Miami DESERVES to be in. And the ACC co-signed it. And created a graphic for it.

Was the Stanford start time conference driven or ESPN driven? If it was conference I think the relationship is really starting to sour. We got them actively dunking on ND on social, we have ND flexing on them with saying Clemson counts as an ACC game. I think we’re going to see a messy breakup sooner rather than later

Pretty sure all start times are tv driven, because if it wasn’t, Ohio State would never play a noon game again

I hope so, I have hated this deal since the beginning. Put the other sports in the Big East and let's roll. Start a scheduling agreement with the SEC and the Big 10.

I feel we could easily get an arrangement with the B1G similar to our ACC deal. I get we like the ACC for the recruiting footprint but man I think after last season and this season we won't have much of a problem recruiting. We've built the pipelines now.

The B1G makes that deal for us in a heartbeat. Easier than ever now since they also have an NBC deal.

Who’s making these decisions for the ACC? Some AI chat bot on the first version of GPT?

This is one of those things do they even get why other sports do this? Or just copied an idea with no thought in the world? Like do they understand the NFL wants European TV viewership and can somewhat reasonably negotiate/spread it? Even the Big 12 capturing Mexico as a conference with how many Southwestern teams. There is 0.0% chance Brazil becomes some beacon for ACC/UVA/NC State football. Just idiotic.

What's strange is, I can't see this chick being a "giver", if you know what I mean. So, wtf is Bill getting out of this??

Probably attention/caretaker. The guy was a brilliant HC for a long time but clearly not much of a social butterfly.

These asshats also don't understand what "being in control" of a game means, or a "misleading" final score - ND tied that game in the fourth quarter, what the fuck are they talking about? One more stop and it's ND possibly kicking the game winning field goal. And wasn't there a dropped INT?

Truly fuck the ACC. Let them fade off into irrelevancy. They're biting the hand that feeds them and I'm ready for them to hit the finding out part of FAFO

I like the sentiment but no one is afraid of our field goal game

Is it me or does ND tv viewership seem down this year?
Not a ton of marquee matchups this year. I'm not sure what viewership looked like last year, but our 3 biggest games (Miami, A&M, USC) all had great numbers IIRC.

sure, but we just got beat out by A&M and South Carolina. Doesn't seem like that should happen.

Our game was a blowout. I'd be curious what the first half ratings for each game looked like. Pretty sure bet that a lot of people tuned the ND game by halftime because it was on pace to be blowout and the last 20 minutes or so of gametime in the A&M game are really juicing those numbers for them.

What’s keeping us here? Is it the fear of scheduling with CFP focusing on conference over non conference or just the money?

Both those fanbases are probably double++ the size of Pitt's. Not too surprising

The prime time USC game barely did better at 4.6M.

IDK, I don't have any historical data to back up my opinion, but just seems weird.

Example week 10, ND vs BC gets beat out by Indiana vs Maryland in the same time slot by 1m viewers. Week 11, ND vs Navy in prime time gets beat out by BYU vs TT, a noon game going against Indiana vs PSU & Georgia vs Miss St. We can complain about the opponent, but isn't ND supposed to be the draw anyways?
