Looks like what Michael Langston told me last spring game was correct all along: he's not an ND type guy.

BTW, there is no way he comes to FSU after the things the fans called Alice, including Gene.

He'll be making millions in 2 years.

But for how long? For whatever reason, the kid has been flakey. Usually doesn't translate well to the NFL.

For his sake, I hope he makes it, but there are countless examples of those who don't.

In our opinion, his leaving is a stupid decision. In his mind-it's what's best for him. He's a young guy going through some issues-whatever they truly are. - I can only imagine. I do know that as a young 18/19 y/o, the best decisions in his life are in front of him. Let him go, wish him luck, and let's move on.

Re: not getting top talent.... Ummm, look at lessor schools. For example, Baylor (yes the cheated and broke NCAA rules) and Boise State win with inferior talent. The tools are here. It's a matter of the coaches and players getting on the same page and making that special "IT" happen.

Props to TurningPoint. After I called him out a couple weeks ago about Lynch, he messaged me and said there's a good chance Lynch leaves. I don't know why and I didn't ask, I just did what any Irish fan would do... Start drinking and talk about how good we'll be next year lol.

This may be true, but **** do happen. You never know what happens. I hope he does, but just saying. Besides, Warren Sapp is broke now. What was that stat about NFL players? 80% going bankrupt? That's crazy.

Family and girlfriends are off limits. You guys want to be bitter? Fine. Don't do it in a way that embarrasses this site.

Well, while this is not news that I wanted to hear, I will treat it as I would if he were injured and could never play again. I would still feel bad for the kid and would wish him and his family the best. I hate it for the team. I hate it for the future players that could have learned from him. He has God given ability and internal motivation that seems to be second to none. However, he has chosen a different path. I was one of the foolish one's last time that went on a rant when he decommited and I refuse to make that mistake again. I will not allow myself to let Aarons defection override the players that still feel ND is the best place to play college football. There are several blue chip players that are more than capable of stepping in his place and producing. To me, this is not as severe a blow as losing Tee. There is at least some depth at DE. I don't know, maybe the staff saw this coming during recruiting. Just my thoughts. Now I am going to take my frustrations out on my class!!!

I kid. I kid. Just joking. I am not going to take it out on my class.

I am going to take it out on the first kid that can't make his mind up on a question!!!! HAHAHA

If he can't be away from home for more than a year at a time, how does he expect to play in the NFL? There aren't many better places to mature than at Notre Dame.

Good luck at USF, Aaron. I hope you have fun bullying those scary Big East offensive lines. And I hope USF isn't too far away from home for you.

This SUCKS.

Got a notice on my phone from ESPN about him leaving... thank god for ESPN. They're always there to break the worst ND news as quickly as possible

Bob I usually agree with you on everything, but we've missed out on a lot of top talent. Shepard, Greenberry, Armstead(s), Darby, and now Lynch. You can get by with 3 star talent on the field, no doubt. Every championship team has 3-stars sprinkled all over the field. But you also need that elite talent out there making plays. For every John Turner and CJ Proise, you want to have a Shaq Thompson if you want to be elite.

Lucky for us Nix, Tuitt, Day, and Jones are all 4+ :s: guys.
