Basically, he is going to FSU, but he regrets how he went about the process. Said he got swept up in Notre Dame and committed and he wishes he had waited longer so he wouldn't of had to decommit...Also felt bad for the way he decommitted, and has since talked to Alford, for an hour, but the talk was described as the last one when you break up w/ someone...told him he is going to FSU.

Jake Brown of IrishIllustrated.com has a great article on one-time Notre Dame commitment Aaron Lynch, who found some “closure” with the Irish after receiving plenty of backlash for decommitting.
From Brown:
The Seminoles secured Lynch’s commitment on Nov. 16 and Lynch will enroll in Tallahassee after spending a couple days at home following the U.S. Army All-American Bowl.
But looking back on how he handled the situation, Lynch has some regrets about how the de-commitment went down. Rather than call Alford to deliver the news, Lynch consulted with his high school coach and sent a text message, then didn’t answer or avoided phone calls.
“I should’ve handled it differently,” Lynch said. “I shouldn’t have sent a text out. I shouldn’t have listened to nobody. I should’ve just called him, that’s how close we were. I regret it and that was foolish of me to do that. So, we didn’t talk for awhile.”
I’m not going to get into the idiotic mindset of fans texting and Facebook-ing recruits, but kudos to Lynch for taking his share of the blame in the entire fiasco.

I've made worse mistakes, I'm certain. Mine just aren't being followed by every recruiting blog in the country.

Seems like he is really close to Alford and didn't know how to talk to him about it. He'll learn from this experience.

Not only is he skeesy but I'm certain he was the one in his ear about not being able to handle the academics at ND. I think he was against Aaron coming to ND from the onset and if memory serves me correctly I believe momma Lynch was on here saying the person in his ear had been put in his place. It was about the time that rumors of him taking visits back in August I think and the rumors were swirling around his his HS coach.

That FSU Recruiting Class is going to be ranked #1 when this year is all said and done in my opinion.
they are poised to finish stronger than any school.
i hope Aaron likes competition because they are loaded along the D Line already down there, plus his 2011 class is going to be loaded at D Line and i believe they have a 5 star DE kid from 2012 that "committed" to jimbo already.
hate FSU but Jimbo may just be on the verge of something special down there-when your the "it" team in the state of Florida (which they are to the HS kids now) watch out.

Similar to the past couple of North Carolina teams. FSU will most likely have a dominant defense and a somewhat weak offense. That's exactly what they seem to be building there.

Lynch and Tuitt again combined for a sack on the next play. Tuitt split a double team with ease, forcing the QB to scramble right into the waiting arms of Lynch, who had just blown past Smith on the opposite side. Lynch and Tuitt were a lethal combination all day.
