In 2024 I mentioned that we hadn't really tapped into the Atlanta area public schools with good academics, but noted we were moving in that direction with the additions of Knapp and Mullins. Now Knapp is a freshman AA, Mullins is an up and coming DT, we landed an athletic freak named Scrap from a southside exurb, we continued to tap into the GA private schools with JBJ and Bubba Frazier, and we have a RB commit from Carrollton with a 4.2 GPA who runs a 10.6 and can squat 600lbs (plus that 48' shot put).

Now we are likely going to land a 2027 QB from that profile who very well could be the best of the bunch. And a Cobb County guy no less! Let's go Teddy!

Sure, they will probably get him in touch with Buchner's high school QB coach

Not enough hype in here for a CJ Carr level commit. Might very well end up higher when all is said and done. Even more exciting that he seems like a kid who’s likely to stick unlike the other high upside QB from SEC country who will not be named.

Also, Gino / Denbrock and the staff fucking nailed it with the strategy this cycle. Had tons of pressure to put out offers and held their ground and it worked out. Super impressive. Could have taken the “easy way out” with Croucher / Bourque / Zeigler and called it a day.

I am super hyped for him. It's just 2027 and it's so hard for me to think about that class when we're still so far away from signing the current one.

Jamie U with the Carson Beck comp. Not sure if that should make me feel cautious about Jarrard or the Miami game. Next year’s opponents should be off limits for player comps, Jamie!
