No he will be in his second year in 28 the year Carr is getting drafted number 1.
Carr goes 1st rd. in NFL draft after '26 season. Deuce in control for '27 & '28, then turn it over to Mr. Hart! I like this plan!

On3 Florida Insider, Keith Niebuhr, put in a prediction for ND on Tuesday. This QB situation is super interesting

The answer is to always take both especially in the portal era. The QB room could get ugly in terms of numbers if Carr wins the job.

Yup. It’s difficult for me to get excited about Knight or any 2026 QB because of Carr. They’re not gonna stick around.

Understand the sentiment, but there is almost no chance that two kids of this quality are ok being in a two QB class.

Totally get it, I’m just saying if they both want in and understand the situation, you have to do it. It takes a unique kid to have that level of maturity/understanding about the situation. It’s happened a few times in recent years. I believe Texas did in the 2021 class. Alabama in 2023. UGA did last year til the end. Worst case you have one deflection like they did

They will if Carr - for whatever reason like the various ones that have befell our last like 18 years worth of top-tier QB recruits - doesn't quite work out.

I feel like that article made little sense. Let me paraphrase for y'all:

Hart and Grubbs both leaning ND.

Long way to go until they can sign.

Claims Louisville is "a team that has been a formidable opponent for Notre Dame in recent years.". I mean, with recruiting (no) or on the field (last year only).

Other schools have offered Hart.

"It's possible that Hart simply isn't ready to pull the trigger".

"If he believes, like everyone else does that it's a race to commit with Noah Grubbs, maybe he's letting Grubbs win that race."

They literally end with "More competition for Brady Hart for Notre Dame football is never a good thing. But it's not clear yet just what the Louisville offer will mean in the long run."

So because they beat us last year, Hart is going to let Grubbs be the first to commit to ND? Yet they'll say nobody knows what the Louisville offer means in the long run? Did they have an article quota to fill here?

Oliver Vandervoort probably is measured and/or compensated at some level by the traffic his articles generate, and we all clicked on it. So yeah I'd guess that is the entire point, because the point did not appear to be "offering useful insight into Brady Hart's recruitment."

Who is better between Hart and Grubbs and is ND recruiting one harder than the other? Isn't ND going after a WR teammate of Hart?

Yes on the WR (Jayvan Boggs)

As far as who they are going after harder? I've never heard anyone report there's a pecking order like Tommy used to have. And that of course is smart unless the kids name is Manning, Luck, Lawrence or Gunner Rivers

Who is better? I liked Hart the most of any in the class when I first looked at film but I then again, I liked Buchner highlights the most on film even though I was a JJ guy until I gave up hope.

Thank you! Appreciate your information. Rivers is a 27 QB?

The QB position and recruiting wise is healthy for ND.

Yuck. Seemed for a long time like he was ours to lose. Did we pick Grubbs over him? Was it whoever chooses first gets the spot?
